Hi everyone! Can you please tell me what it is like at this time? I know someone who went and said they wouldn't go back again in August and others who say it is hot but tolerable. I just don't want to be dragging the kids around if it is way too hot. How are the crowds? Thanks!

We went Sept.9 this year and it was hot. However, we felt it was bearable. There are plenty of air-conditioned buildings and you can find shade. We also took advantage of the water parks and our resort pool.

The best thing about this time of the year is the crowd level. We never waited more than 10 minutes on most rides. The water parks were also empty. We have a reservation to go back the same time next year.

The temperature usually runs in the low 90's. However, give or take some degrees. We love this time of year.

Good Luck:)

It is HOT and humid (which makes it feel hotter) but tolerable. Also, you would be going at the beginning of hurricane season. We go this time every year and HAVE a BLAST!!!! The crowd level is crazy low!

Feelin' Hot! Hot! Hot! DBF had to keep suggesting we go into gift shops because he was worried about how red my face was! We had left a rather mild Ohio summer for a rather hot Florida one and I was not tolerating it well:sick:-just be sure to get out of the sun if you're feeling the heat!

We went the last week in August this year. It was hot and humid, but with lots of ice water and sunblock, portable fans and the misting fan we were okay. A lot of the rides have indoor waiting lines and there is air conditioning everywhere. Hats are a must and comfortable clothing too.
Loved the low crowds so can't wait to do it again.
The best thing we did was to bring a cooler full of ice and bottled water, and the ice cold cut up watermelon was the boys favorite treat.

We were there a few years ago in Aug/early Sept. and we loved the low crowds but had to deal with the high heat and humidity. We now go later in Sept. each year so that it's toned down the heat a bit. We balance our day out - mornings we go to the parks, rest in the afternoons (pools or room) and then go back for dinner and fireworks. This is the best way to beat the heat and not get run down!:thumbsup2

We were there Labor Day week(starting on Sept. 6) 2009 and it was HOT. I heard it was hot and humid and I thought, "Well, it's hot and humid where I live so it won't be much different." Well, it was different. At home, I'm not out in it all day long. UGH! BUT....the crowds were non-existent. THAT was awesome.:goodvibes

That is the time of year we are going. I'll deal with the heat for low crowds! :thumbsup2
Last June, there were some days that were just HOT HOT HOT. I felt like I was roasting in the sun. AND the crowd levels were high. Not a good combination! So I'd rather have hot but low crowds!
