Considering a 4 day next Feb for DW, DMIL, DSIL. I was hoping recent cruisers would comment on the weather during the early part of February throughout their cruise. Thanks!
I was on the Wonder from 02/15 to 02/19 this year. The weather was warm the first couple of days. Kids went swimming in the pools, etc. CC day the water was chilly but people were still swimming and it was partly cloudy with intermittent rain but we still went and had a great time. Then the full sea day was really windy and chilly. Kids couldn't swim. :0( But we had a GREAT time doing all the activities on board. I would say GO FOR IT. There's alot to do onboard but for MOST of the cruise the weather was fine! :0)
I did the 4 day Feb 8 cruise last month. On the 8th, it was cool (50) cloudy, and very windy, it made it feel really cold.
It became warmer that evening as we headed south. The rest of the cruise was great. Highs 70's and 80's,sunny, and we returned to very warm weather at Port Canveral .
We were on the 2/14 Magic (western) and the weather was cool and windy for most of the week. It was a real surprise as we were expecting warm, tropical weather. All shore excursions involving water (snorkeling, dolphins, catamaran, etc ) were cancelled in Cozumel due to the wind and high surf which resulted in a lot of disappointed passengers. The crew did say that it was the "worst weather in the past two months" if that helps any. Our previous cruise was in April, and I think we'd go back to that for our next cruise.
We sailed on the 2/12 Wonder. Weather was cloudy coming to port and the day we disembarked..but on the ship we had SUNSHINE...warm weather (70's) in both Nassau and Castaway Cay..warm enough we were tempted IN the not that warm water...pretty close to water temps we feel here in Ocean City MD mid summer (lower 70's) Lucky we know... weather in Feb can be a total range from 50's to 80's!!
We have just booked the 4 day leaving on the 13th Feb next year, so reading the answers with interest.
In 2003 we sailed on the Golden Princess the last week in Feb and the weather was glorious, very hot on Princess Keys which I believe is in a similar area to Castaway cay.
I was also on the 4 day Wonder 2/15-2/19 and it was OK the first day, really nice on Nassau day and Ok again on CC day. Day at sea was extremely windy and kinda cold (not what we expected at all). Kids did go swimming, my parents went to see Miracle and my wife and I went to the spa so it all worked out, but a nice sunny warm 80 degree day would have been much much better

We were on the same cruise with you. Yes, the last day was disappointing but my husband says he now has a NEW favorite movie, MIRACLE! LOL. He loved it. So I guess there is a silver lining here. :0)
