weather/conditions for august cruising?

Since wife and I both teach, we must vacation only during holidays and august. We've been to WDW in August and the sun,heat and humidity really change the experience. Should I expect the same from an August 4 nite bahamas cruise (traveling with 2 year old that loves beach)

yes, it is very very hot and humid in August. It shouldn't stop you from having a great time though. Just remember your sun screen, hydrate yourself with plenty of water, and don't overdo your alcohol consumption while outdoors, since it dehydrates you.
