Weather at Castaway Cay

Hi, I know it's still about 5-6 weeks away, I've been checking the long range forecast for Castaway Cay, my family are cruising on the Magic Nov 10-17, our day at Castaway Cay forecast show windy conditions about 20mph, we booked the stingray feeding. With it being that windy do the still have it or do they cancel because of being windy. Thanks

I’ve done the feeding and I can’t see any reason why it would be cancelled due to wind. We went and the water was freezing cold. That didn’t stop them either. Haha it’s a really fun excursion. One thing I suggest is that your kids bring their favorite goggles. It will make them feel more comfortable if they have a hard time putting a snorkel in their mouth that dcl gives them. At least with their own goggles they can swim comfortably and keep their eyes open to pet the rays as they go by.

Wow, where do you get that 5-6 week forecast? The National Weather Service and the Weather Channel are good for about 7-14 days out.

The will cancel for wind. We had family who booked stingrays in 2017 when we all sailed together. It was cancelled due to windy weather. In fact all excursions were cancelled.

Whatever forecast you're seeing will not be accurate this far out. The weather can barely predict the correct thing a day before let alone a month before. Check right before you leave for your cruise for a more accurate prediction.

Our Stingray feeding was cancelled due to wind in March. But it was REALLY windy. Love CC, but that day, I had to keep reminding myself that I love it!

Our Castaway Cay excursions have been cancelled 3 out of the 4 times we went due to wind.. but... they were water excursions like Jet-skiing.
