Hi! :wave2: My dh and I leave on Monday :cheer2: for our annual trip to disneyworld. We usually fly straight through. However this year my son surprised me with my ticket. Love him!::yes:: The problem is this.....we change planes in St Louis. The weather is saying St Louis will be 33 degrees and 40% chance of rain/snow. :crazy2: How bad will it have to be for the planes not to be flown? Is there a certain temp or a certain amount of rain/snow to ground a plane? :scared: We will land about 10:30 a.m. and are due to leave an hour later.
I am a nervous wreck over this. :confused3 Our trip has already been cut shorter because of the economy and I don't want to get stranded in St Louis ( no offense to the Missouri people I just want to go to WDW).
Thank you all who have any answers for me!:thanks:

Given you still have a few days, weather is unpredictable.

The best advice I can Give.

www.faa.gov ( Airports and Air Traffic Tab, then the 1st blue link, Real Data. ) They give a small break down of how air traffic, and a brief standard explanation of why there may be delays. )

Of course check with the airline! Personally I arrive Early ( given i have a passion for Disney and Aviation ) but I try and arrive on the flight that leaves before the one you hold a ticket for. ( Especially if it is direct. )

I go up to the counter and try to get on that flight~ Normally they do not charge the change fee.. normally.....

But that could be an idea...

Also please remember the weather accross the country and Orlando. Traffic may be building up!!

I am sure i am forgetting other tips, but you can get an idea of how to plan for the morning of your flight!

Also No there is no certain temptature or amount of rain or snow. It all depends on icing conditions and visibility ( RVR Runway visual range, the min pilots are "ok" with is 1/2/ mile, usually meant for landing, but you still have to takeoff! And by icing I mean Flying to Cruise Level. It may not be icing on the ground, but what about 300ft in the air as you are climbing** :) Dont forget that....
There are a few other points, but thats a general picture.....

Bri :)
