Weather 2nd week of Oct

We will be there the 12th through the 15th of Oct. I was there over Veterans Day last year in Nov and we all wore pants and long sleeve but light weight shirts. I am wondering what the weather is like in early oct. I know here in Sacramento it is still usually pretty hot. I am not quite sure what to pack. I was thinking t-shirts with lightweight jackets but not sure whether to wear shorts or capris or long pants.

Any ideas for those who live in the area?

It can be as warm as 90 or as cool as 70. I love to go this time of year, but it is hard to pack. I usually just wear jeans and a t-shirt and bring a sweatshirt. Unless it's going to be super warm. The average high temp historically is about 80.

October is nuts! I would pack for both hot and cold rainy weather!

A few years ago Dh and I went in October and it was like 95 degrees! Two years ago my cousins and I went in October and it was raining!

Hey, I used to live in Sac!! Anyway, I agree with others that Oct. is a difficult month to predict. I would just wait to pack until the few days before when you can see what the weather forecast is going to be. I would definitely say that you'll probably need a jacket/sweatshirt in the evenings, but as for during the day, who knows!! Last year we were there the 1st week of Oct. and it was great. In the mid to upper 70's during the day and cool at night.

It is a weird month to predict but it is still fairly warm in the afternoon. Warm enough that you can go on splash and dry out. So a pair of jeans and a light weight shirt would be sufficient. But a jacket for in the morning and definately at night is a must. It gets quite cold.
