We are going 1/31-2/6
Weather seems to be in high 60's low 70's with 60-70% humidity.
I am really struggling what to pack for my kids. Is this pants or tank top weather? Swimming possible? Is it usually pretty consistent this time of year? Thanks!

That would really depend on where you are from! Folks from North Dakota and Wisconsin would be in shorts and T Shirts, while some of us cold-blooded people from Texas would be in jeans and jackets! I will bring layers, as highs could be 70s but might be 40s at rope drop in AM.

The weather in early February is not consistent from year-to-year. In fact its not consistent from day-to-day. The best suggestion is to pack layers. Things that can be put on top of other things so that some combination will be appropriate for the actual conditions you encounter while you are there.

We are going the same week--Jan 30-Feb 5--and I'm waiting until we get closer to decide what to pack. We were there the same week last year and until about 3 days before we left, the forecast was for temps in the mid 60's to low 70's. Well, that changed at the last minute and it was in the mid 80's all week!

Going the same week. We've been before years ago and wore shorts, but one year DH went out to the van to get our winter jackets so we could watch Fantasia.
Dress in layers and you'll be good.
If you're from the North, swimming will be ok b/c the pools are heated, just a little chilly when you get out.

The one time we visited in early February, the temps were close to 70 during the day and 50-ish at night. It was great for touring and much nicer than the weather back in PA. But I know we were lucky and it can be much colder.

I would pack some jeans and sweatshirts if you plan to spend anytime outside after the sun goes down. Why be miserable if it is cold.

Accuweather.com is forecasting some lowes in the 40 for the first week of Feb and highs in the low 60.

I agree with the idea of packing layers. I've been to WDW in February for quite a few years, and the weather can vary like you wouldn't believe. One year, I swam at night with no problem. Another year, I was wearing a warm jacket to Animal Kingdom so I wouldn't freeze to death in the wind. lol

I find that you can't go wrong with jeans or long pants and then layers for the top. A nice hoodie or jacket is good to keep around for the nighttime hours because it does get chilly. Hopefully the forecast will be firmed up soon, and you'll be able to finish your packing. :) Hope you have a great trip!

Bring a little of everything, including swimsuits, gloves, hats, etc. for each person in your party. Don't count on the weather forecast to help you pack; the forecast can be wrong! Especially in the winter months, the weather can change drastically from day to day. Bring at least a couple of pairs of shorts, long pants, short sleeves, warm socks, rain gear for everyone, and remember that you can do laundry mid-trip.

It can be very expensive to buy things after you arrive (like hats and gloves) so definitely bring them, even if the forecast implies you shouldn't need them. Things like swimsuits and gloves take up very little room in a suitcase, and you'll be glad to have them if you need them!

I was just talking to my brother about packing shorts for our trip at the same time. You are right about us Wisconsinites!! Can't wait to get out of this -17 degree weather...brrrr. :cool1:
