Hi everyone!

We are having our MK bridal shoot 3 mornings after the wedding and wanted to know if we are allowed to go to another resort and take pictures and possibly eat? Wanted to go to the Wilderness lodge and get pictures with the Christmas decorations? Let me know if anyone has done this and your experiences.

Thanks everyone!

I don't know about doing this, but I wouldn't recommend eatting at Roaring Forks in your gown, that just seems like a bad idea. They have the kids running around doing horse races and that just seems like a bad place for a poofy dress. You would also be there at a busy time since the MK will have just opened when you finish your pics, so it seems you would have more people then normal wandering through your photos. Hope this helps.

Umm, I think the answer is NO! (not just no) I don't think that they allow Wedding gowns and pictures.

I would check with your wedding planner.....

thanks everyone. I know you can wear your gown to resorts on the day of your wedding. That part is fine. But I agree that eating in my gown there might be a bad idea. Not sure where else to eat there in general. I will have to ask about going to the Wilderness Lodge in my gown after the photo shoot which is not on my wedding day. Like I said, I know that you can go to resorts and take pictures in your wedding attire on the day of your wedding but I will have to ask about the day of my MK photo shoot.

Thanks again.

Here is what I was told (keep in mind that this was back in 2003, and things are always changing at DFTW). We had a photo shoot the morning after our wedding (we actually did it at the Grand Floridian, not a MK photo shoot) in our wedding attire. While this was allowed, it had to be scheduled through my event manager. Basically, Disney doesn’t want brides running into each other. If a bride is having her wedding pictures taken (on the actual day of her wedding), then she will take precedence over a bride doing a post-wedding photo shoot. Disney schedules the photo shoots to keep brides from being in each other’s way and making them feel special. I would ask my EM about the possibility of doing this, but it can be a bit sticky.

Thank you so very much for the reply. I will definetly ask the event manager. We speak with her tomorrow. I appreciate the information, it is nice to have some idea of things before asking the planner, I think. Thanks again.

Have A Disney Day!!!
