Wearing costumes under age of 14 question

I had for some reason always thought the age was 10, no idea why, but it clearly does state that only if you are 14 or over are you unable to wear a costume into the park.

My daughter will be 13 and a half when we visit but she is 5'7" and looks quite a bit older than her age. So if she dresses up in costume (she'd likely want to be Rey) would there be any issues as technically she is not yet 14 and could have the I.D. with her to prove it?

I wouldn't think there would be a problem.

Now, whether others in the park take it upon themselves to complain (either loudly in your presence, or actually with Disneyland) because they think she "got over" and was allowed in, I can't say.

I am not too worried about what other people think - just Disney's reaction when we show up at the gate. I would think though the people who made this decision at Disney are well aware of how mature an almost 14 year old can look - my daughter is certainly not an exception.

Up until recently you could wear costumes up to the age of 9yrs old. But they have just changed it to 14 years - and being more strict on what they are allowing adults to wear in (or at least saying they are - not sure of actual reports from the park). So having just made the decision they should be well aware of it and prepared for 14 year olds to be in costume.
