Wearing a Disney shirt at Islands of Adventure?

About 5 years ago I had a MM fanny pack and boy did the TM`s at The Mummy make fun of it.........they were really funny and it was all good humoured.

Similarly a little girl had MM ears and a tee shirt on, and again they had a lot of fun and the little girl loved every second. One TM pretend screamed and ran away from her shouting about an escaped mouse.

I'm sure the jokes about Disney gear still fall far short of the annoyance received when wearing a Thing 1 & Thing 2 shirt, when everyone will ask you where Thing 3 is.

Well, my youngest (Thing 2) wore his Thing 2 shirt to Epcot. His older brother (Thing 1) didn't. We saw a family that had a Thing 1, Thing 3 and Thing 4. We joked with Thing 2 that he was with the wrong family.....

at Universal when we wore our NY Yankees hats or our UCONN Huskies shirts they teased us and said they wouldn't let us on rides.
at WDW same hats and shirts - only heard from CM's who said they liked our hats or shirts.

at Uni when my son wore his Mickey shirt - negative comments from TM's

at WDW when my son wore his Gryffindor hat -not a single comment from a photopass photographer or CM

Maybe same folks work at both parks but the culture is definitely different. We laughed the teasing off but the kids did not like it one bit.

I wore this at Disney!!

No issues whatsoever.. People did love the t-shirt. =)

...but I did have to say at the moment that I did enjoy MNSSHP too!!!!.

If you wear a statement t-shirt (Disney, political, sport ect) someone will comment on it. Hopefully they will make some kind of joke or tell you that they like your shirt. So if you don't like that, don't wear one, but if you don't mind people come up to you and comment on it, wear your t-shirt with pride!
I once had a universal t-shirt on at WDW and only one CM said something. He made some kind of joke with me wearing the wrong t-shirt.

I wouldn't have a problem wearing one of my Disney shirts,
But I probably wouldn't wear my Mickey ears! Ha ha

Once in universal their was an adult male wearing a disney hat, disney tshirt, disney zippered jacket (jacket was opened), a disney backpack and to top it all off his camera had the disney camera strap. MY DD's and I would of probably of not noticed him but he was in the standard "red" Disney color. I turned to my kids and said, "I think he's in the wrong park".

This happened about 4 yrs ago. That man made a big impression on me because every time I think of wearing anything Disney themed to Universal or IOA I see that man pop in my head.

I've worn Disney to Universal & Universal to Disney.. heck, I have even worn the rain poncho's too... Sometimes the CM/TM's will joke and other times there are no jokes.. to me, I don't mind it, I joke back.. to TM's I tell them I've traveled from another world... to CM's I tell them I'm from the darkside
