Looks like a fun time at Jedi Training despite all the phones being held up in front of you. That happens at everything in Disney though. At least it wasn't a bunch of iPads.
Looks like your son enjoyed it. I never did Jedi training nor have my sisters. I escape a Star Wars fan when I was too old to do it.
I cracked up at your DH's blocked shots! He's gotta learn to throw some elbows!j/k But yeah, as I mentioned, this last one was our 3rd JTA experience and I stopped even trying to take pictures and just take whatever the photopass photographers can get because so many of mine were either partially or completely blocked. I'm usually ok to see though, being 6'0" tall myself.
I so agree with you about the time suck that is JTA, and have already started floating the idea of skipping it next trip with my kids. One may possibly be ok with skipping, while the other absolutely is not. But I actually think the biggest hold out will be DH, as he gets to vicariously live his Star Wars dreams through the kids.![]()
I'm all caught up!
First off - sorry for the loss of your aunt. I hope your family is doing well.![]()
Excited to read your WDW adventures!
Your massage sounds wonderful. I think that would be a nice treat for a future trip.
Jock Lindsey was fun, I'm glad you got a chance to eat and drink there. I would have ordered the pretzels too! I thought Disney Springs was fun too. So much stuff to see now, and every week something new opens.
I got our annual passes too! I just ordered them a few weeks ago. Our first use will be in December. Dec 3 to be exact. We'll be going down for a few days for DH's birthday and to see the holiday decor which we've yet to see. I figure since I got to celebrate my bday in WDW this year then he should too. Then our trips in 2017 will be in Feb for the Princess 5k and then I think May (for May the 4th), August (family trip), and Oct/Nov for F+W. Those are my tentative plans. I may throw in some long weekends here and there. I'm going to milk this pass for all it's worth!
Your DHS morning looked great. Sorry TSMM was down! That sucks. I like Star Tours too and we thought the new TFA scenes were cool. I found Star Tours in Disneyland to be always packed. I guess I thought it was strange since at DHS the wait is never longer than 20 minutes and usually only 10 minutes but at DLR it was upwards of 45 minutes at times. But then I think DLR was much more crowded than WDW.
Your DS looks so serious in his Jedi Training! The force was certainly strong with him.
I know about fighting the crowds blocking your view. We had to deal with that all week. More so at DLR than at WDW I found.
So sorry about your aunt. Loads of love & support to your family!
Great pics of Jedi training! I mentioned in another thread that it was my younger daughter's very favorite part of our trip in 2010 (she was 9 at the time); she started training in taekwondo shortly after the trip & is now a 2nd degree black belt. Weapons are her favorite part of training & I joked that it's all because of Jedi training. LOL!!
Loved this trip report!
