We took a 2 year old and a 2 month old to WDW! Updated 2/3 MK and Crystal Palace!!

Wow! I can't believe how much Baby B has changed. :goodvibes

I'm glad your DD warmed up to Tigger. :thumbsup2

I can't believe it either. He is growing up so fast!

Loved your report. We just got our ADR for Crystal Palace on our last day at the parks. 8:00...I wanted to get in before the park opened. Can't wait to try the yummy food.

You are going to love CP!! Our first visit there was at 8:00. There is just something about walking down a nearly empty Main Street. Love it!

Great trip report so far! My baby girl was born in September, too! :goodvibes We are anxiously awaiting her first trip in December - it's great to read TR's with little ones to get great tips. :thumbsup2

Thank you!

It is really easier than you would think to travel with little ones. You just have to be prepared. We took our DD the first time when she was 17 months and we had a blast!!

For a child that age I:

*figured out how many diapers I used for a day and took 3 days more.
*(we had a car) bought all her favorite snacks and brought at least 3 items with us to the park each day.
*brought twice as many wipes as I usually use. You will be surprised at all the things you will use them for.
*bring some clorox wipes to wipe off everything. :rotfl:
*Bring your comfy big stroller, a lot of the time DD would fall asleep in her stroller as we were exiting the park to go pack and nap. We knew she would never fall asleep after a bus ride so we would walk around the park then.
*make Breakfast or late Lunch ADRs. Dinners didn't go so well because she was tired by then and at that time wanted to take another nap (which was great because we could stay at the parks later).
*bring a poncho for her stroller
*Bring an extra outfit, bathing suit (may be too cold in Dec), and a bag and stash it under the stroller, JIC.

Let me know if you need anymore tips!

When was your DD born? My DS was born on 9/14, his due date.:goodvibes

Thanks SO much!! :goodvibes That's great advice! How funny! Madelyn was due on 9/14 (my Mom's bday) but I ended up getting induced & she was born 9/19 (my Dad's bday) :) Thanks for the meal tips - I've been so unsure of how many ADR's to make - but, I totally agree with what you wrote in your TR - louder restaurants are SO much better! LOL When we take Maddie for wing night at a loud restaurant she's an angel, when we try to take her to a quiet Italian restaurant she fusses the whole time & I'm much more worried about her making noise there. We also planned on brining our cushy stroller from home that reclines so she can nap there. :thumbsup2 Thanks again!!

Welcome to our trip report! This is our 3rd time going to WDW in 2 years. Yes, we are crazy, or that is what our friends and family tell us. I worked as a castmember in 1997, and hadn't been back since. In 2007, my DH told me he wanted a relaxing vacation, so I suggested WDW. :lmao: To my surprise, he said yes. I found the Disboards, and the rest is history.

We did not plan on going back to WDW so soon. When we left in May, I had the major Disney blues because we honestly didn't know when we would be back. I was around 20 weeks pregnant during that trip, so we kept calling that our last trip as a family of 3.

About 3 weeks before my due date in late August, we got an elusive e-mail code. Free Dining on a 4 night, 5 day stay at a value resort. I couldn't believe it. Of all times! I didn't even mention it to my DH because I figured he wouldn't go for it. So...later that afternoon he forwarded me the same code. It seems he had gotten it in his e-mail as well. He said we should just go for it. We were going to be up all night anyway, we may as well be up all night at WDW! So I called and booked it!

We decided to stay at Pop. We had never stayed there, or any value, so I was a little nervous. I was also so nervous about ADRs! I figured we would NEVER get in to the restaurants that we wanted. So I sat down and made a list of restaurants.

When planning the meals, I only had two things I was looking for: loud and characters. You see, we had made the mistake of eating at quiet restaurants. When we ate at LeCellier, the food was wonderful, but trying to keep DD quiet was not. So I made a long list and told DH he couldn't be picky this time because we most likely would not get our first choice. I called later that day and got all my ADRs! I didn't even have to alter a time that I wanted. I was so excited!:yay:

So, all we had to do now was plan our days, have the baby (we didn't know if it was going to be a boy or a girl), and hope that this one didn't have colic!

Don't you want to know what happens? Well, read the next post to find out. ;)[/QUOT
What can I say ??? are you Crazy? you Did it?? My god Just can't believe.

great tips. I too am reading reports where the kiddos are small. DS (also born this past Sept 25th) will either be 16 mos or 28 mos depending on when we decide to go. We're going with my parents and my brother and his family but my brother can;t decide when he wants to go (doesn;t want to use much vacation in the next couple years and let it accrew for when they would have another baby) My mom and I would like for it to be next year but then again I am hestitant on that bc I would like DS to be a little older. If he is 28 mos then he might be tall enough to do more rides (I think he will be tall) At least we will have lots of extra help on hand. Being spoiled by grandma should help out his mood if should get cranky!! :rotfl2:

Have you decided on any ADRs? I think we may try some new restaurants for our next trip.

Baby B was born on my MIL's birthday! I secretly hoped he would be born on my birthday 9/16. :)

I hope we aren't crazy!! We did do it and we are doing it again in October! :)

Yes, you are lucky that Grandma will be making the trip with you! You should plan a meal with just you and your DH!

Keep in mind that the little ones can ride any ride that doesn't have a height restriction. There are quite a few at all the parks that they can ride. :)

We left Crystal Palace with our bellies full! Man, that food is so good. Yum!

We headed to Frontierland. This is also something we do each time. The first day at MK we head right to Fantasyland. The 2nd day at MK we go to Frontierland first.

As we were walking over the bridge we saw Rafiki. I asked Princess if she wanted to get his autograph and she said yes. So, we went to stand in the small line. When it was our turn, she looked at me and said "I don't want to do this!" So, we turned around and went to look for Rob and Baby B.

Our first stop was Aladdin.

There was a small line, but we only had to wait one ride.

Finally it was our turn!

I love looking at all the places way up high!

After this we went to ride Jungle Cruise, but it was closed. :( We were upset because we loved this ride last trip.

We decided that we would try Pirate's again. Last trip, Princess did well, but we didn't know how Baby B would do in the dark. On the way there we spotted this guy.

WDW-Day4066.jpg

We watched the show for a little while, but Princess was getting bored. I like it! When we turned around to go to the ride we saw these two, with no line!

Princess was scared of the Captain, but she loved Mr. Smee.

We left them and headed to Pirates. It turned out to be perfect timing because Baby B was getting hungry. Once again, there was no line, so we walked right on! Baby B nursed the entire ride and Princess loved it!!

After the ride I changed diapers and Rob shopped around the store. We ended up buying a bag of jewels for Princess and a bottle of bones and skulls for us to enjoy later.

At this point Princess was getting tired. Would our next stop be Pop or would we make it back to Fantasyland?

Hey just wondering if you or anyone knows anything about stroller swaps. We really need a double stroller for May 9 to 16th, but they all look full. Was just wondering about buying one and doing a swap. Thanks for any advice!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Looked at your thread. I think that is a very good stroller. I've read good things about it. I hope you can find enough people to join your swap!!

Hi your kids are so cute. Glad that you had a good time in the world. Can't wait for the next post.
