We love the Manti with Yogurt sauce -
Little dumplings filled with meat and a good yogurt sauce!!!

Montreal Canada -

To all my Canadian friends I am not saying Canada is stinky in this picture. I am saying that every year by the time the heat in Orlando gets to 96 and they are cooking Salmon it smells like the back of Costco when they do fish samples!

Chedder Cheese soup - a classic! Maple glazed salmon- tasted better then the smell! Chateau des Charmes Merlot and Vidal Icewine

I had a greek salad - it was good not great but I needed veggies!
Also the Boutari Moschofilero wine - good light great on a hot day!

Louisiana - Our Favorite booth?! Maybe?

Seafood Gumbo and Crawfish Etouffee!
Which one is which I do not remember at this point from the photo but I do remember that I loved them both but the Etouffee was the best to us! Loved it! We also had an Abita beer ..

I've been reading along thinking how I really need to go to this. I LOVE that your possibly fav was from my home! People wonder why we get so fat down here- well, there ya go- gumbo and etouffee! Yummy and I can't get enough! I personally don't drink beer, but Abita is DH's fac- actually the strawberry ale they do in the spring is his first choice.

Krakow Poland

Wine Mushroom Soup and Kielbasa Pierogies

The soup was good - I like mushrooms but again it is Orlando and HOT! So a little went a long way! The Pierogies were really greasy this year and that made me sad! I mean a dumpling filled with potatoes and covered with onions should be wonderful. It was ok!

Chopin Vodka Raspberry Cocktail - $8.25 !

This tasted like melted Jell-O -it was TOO SWEET and had a strange consistency and the worst part is you could not taste any vodka at all!
This was BAD!

Ok The only thing we have a picture of is the Jelly Roll!?! Well at least that is all I have on Photobucket!

I know that we had is all and that we didn't seem to care for much. I liked the Pina Colada but again for the price and lack of RUM I could do better poolside at the Boardwalk!

Thank you for the kind response! We love your home state and hope to get back this year in April for my 40th! The food and music are the BEST and the people are just some of the sweetest I have ever met! I will keep a look out for the Strawberry Ale!
I hear you - I have to diet a month before we go to stay even with a trip to Louisiana! Fried and Grilled Oysters!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally loved your food report. It brings back fond memories. We loved that Mint tea that the Marrakesh stand had this year too. So refreshing and we really needed the break from the booze by the time we got that far into the stands. So sad your report is over. F&W 2009 seems so far away.

Jason loved the bread pudding .. but it was just regular bead pudding.. Raglan Road is the best I have had!

Excellent F&W report & pics! Just think, you'll be able to do it all over again in less than 9 months! I really wonder what this year's F&W Fest will be like... hopefully, the food booths won't have cut-backs like the other events, but you never know. Thanks again!
