We surprised the kids with the trip, but they surprised us, too.

It's a miracle that we kept it a surprise. Gene would blurt something out about it a few times a week and then we'd have to say something to cover his mistake.

So, they told me that we were going to Baltimore... and then Gene "missed" the turn-off, then did the same for Washington, D.C. and Williamsburg. I acted excited about each place. I was driving when we got to Savannah and I actually got off 95. We got gas and then I told the kids that I wanted to take their picture since it was Savannah and I also wanted to take their picture when we got to the room. As I held the camera up I said that I had two things to tell them... #1 - we were going home on Tuesday, not Monday and #2 - we were going to WDW, not Savannah. Then I took their picture. :)

Then Rachel reached into her pocket and pulled out a piece of paper that said, "Mom is in cahoots with Dad."

They thought they knew that something was up but they weren't sure. The day before Justin looked over Gene's shoulder at my computer and an email was up about going, but he didn't get to read much.

It really threw them off when I pulled off the highway at Savannah, they thought that maybe we were going there afterall.

Cool!!! I am so impressed. Doing this would be soooo fun. :teeth:

That is so cool! Im not big on surprises for myself, but hearing other people get surprised is always fun. :)
