We Strapped Sea Turtles to Our Feet! A Summer of Sea & Shore - 11/13 x3 FINISHED!!!!!

:worship: That's for you and the camping business. I'll take my villa any day. So happy you all had fun and that is what's important!

I've heard really good things about the pool at Ft. Wilderness! We had some friends that stayed there and the kids loved swimming in it!

Can't wait to read the rest!

Oh, I know I wouldn't last too long either!! I was shocked to see people with A/C piped into their tents, but that does reveal something about the weather... I prefer camping when the temps dip down at night!

The pool did look really neat! :thumbsup2

Finally all caught up! Just in time. What a fun adventure! The cruise looked amazing - as always... Vero is beautiful... and Disney camping looks like it's own breed! I'd love to camp at Disney but I don't see us doing it since we won't ever drive... unless we want a divorce. We don't do long road trips well. I'm very impressed with the "comfort station"... it's the nicest camping bathroom I've ever seen.

Can't wait to hear about your girls trip.

you have been on a roll!!!:thumbsup2:rotfl2::thumbsup2 I need to take it from you and finish my TR from November of 2010~ YES a YEAR AGO!!! :rotfl::rotfl: I think its buried in DIS land somewhere..

What fun you guys had though!! you did A LOT!!!

We were thinking of going to the KSC after our Fantasy cruise next summer.. do you think a half day is enough?

We were going to drive down (I'm from MD as well).. so we would hit KSC on our way home.. and just stop for the night somewhere. (I usually drive straight through),

do you think 5-6 hours is enough time to see most of it?

Loved Vero beach too!! and camping, that must have been fun!!

Blizzard beach looks so fun. I got to tour it this summer and we got to sample a donut too....MMMMM!

Wow, tons of updates!!!

Camping actually looks like lots of fun at FW. We have never been to the campfire before but will have to check it out soon.

Glad you like Blizzard Beach. It is our favorite! The boys look like they were having a blast!

Glad you had a great time on your girls trip. Can't wait to read all about it.

I read your updates on Sunday, but am just now getting a chance to respond to them (I wanted to make sure I did justice to them ) -- Chelsea has a doctor's appointment today, so I took the day off.

So glad we have the magic of the DIS, so that your first glimpse of the WDW sign was a bit clearer. LOL!

Camping looks like so much fun (in theory), but I suspect that my crew wouldn't even be able to get the tent up without a lot of drama, choice words, and tears. Ha ha!

Cali Grill must be really delicious -- one day we will try it. Although, I think I want to try those Blue Zoo crab nachos first. Yum!

The campfire with s'mores and a movie sounds like a lot of fun! We watched The Sorcerer's Apprentice again on Sunday -- very cute movie -- Connor loves it, of course. Our favorite line is the reference to Star Wars with "these aren't the droids you are looking for."

Blizzard Beach looks like a hit -- we have been to Typhoon Lagoon but not BB. Is there any shade there? I know my two would love it there -- especially Chelsea with those big water slides.

Ah, AKL! I never get tired of seeing pictures of it. :lovestruc

WOW I finally just caught up!! LOVE IT!!! I could do the tent thing for a day or two but after that back to a Disney resort room for me LOL!!!!! Although I must say Ft. Wilderness has a lot of very fun activities that would be awesome to do!!!!

If I were the type to really enjoy swimming at Disney I would love to visit Blizzard Beach, the theming looks like so much fun!!!!!!

Can I just say I'm so excited about the idea of seeing you again this summer!! I cannot wait!! WOOT WOOT!!! I might even have to have a drink by the pool LOL!!!!!! (Since we know I can manage 1)

Can't wait for your resort and Blue Zoo night...I so have to get back there LOL!

Tangerine Dreams for the girls! Jen, I'm printing this post off and taking it with us!!!

Hey...I made it before you posted your last days entries!! CAnt wait to hear about Thanksgivening at sea!!

Looks like a great time at BB.....one of these days I will get to a water park. I have flashbacks of Great Wolf Lodge when I thought my skin was going to fall off do to the extreme amounts of chlorine  but I know it's not like that in Disney ;)

Okay with the guy on the scooter :headache:...but I suppose on the side it is all sand :confused3

I am sure after your camping fun you were happy to step foot in the AKL even if it was just for a quick moment :rolleyes1

Mmmmmm Blue Zoo....you should get some kind of kick back from them  I still haven't had the crab nachos :scared1: because I have loved the low country shrimp so much I just can't (I wish I could) eat everything I want when I am there....and of course the Serenity takes up some room too :rotfl:

Hey there! I have been terrible on the DIS, I am so behind on your PTR, too, and you are getting ready to go!!! the cruise was great, and yes, I agree Vero is very pretty!!! Camping at Disney is its own breed of camping, I agree, and think that is a great way to describe it!!! You had me laughing with the divorce in driving comment.. that is so true for many, I think!! :thumbsup2 Yes, DEFINITELY the nicest camp bathrooms I have seen, too! NOT National Park! :thumbsup2

you have been on a roll!!!:thumbsup2:rotfl2::thumbsup2 I need to take it from you and finish my TR from November of 2010~ YES a YEAR AGO!!! :rotfl::rotfl: I think its buried in DIS land somewhere..

Hi! I think you could do well at KSC with 6 hours... you would have to prioritize and have a plan beforehand, but it is doable I think. We did a lot on this trip, that is true!!! I wanted to get it finished before I left for Miami, but it didn't work out!! I did start my new PTR for the Thanksgiving cruise, though... Vero and camping were definitely highlights for the kids!!! :thumbsup2

Blizzard beach looks so fun. I got to tour it this summer and we got to sample a donut too....MMMMM!

They sure were good!

Wow, tons of updates!!!

Well I hope Michelle is working on that TR!! I am supposed to help with the title, she might have already started it!!! YOUR trip is coming up in two weeks, right?! YAY for you!

I read your updates on Sunday, but am just now getting a chance to respond to them (I wanted to make sure I did justice to them ) -- Chelsea has a doctor's appointment today, so I took the day off.

YES, it was fun to imagine the other sunny and beautiful days we have driven through the gates, so I made it sunny for my TR!!!

I think once you got the tent up, that you would have a fun few days!!! I know we did! :thumbsup2

Cali Grill must be really delicious -- one day we will try it. Although, I think I want to try those Blue Zoo crab nachos first. Yum!

It is all really really good! AND that campfire was a great time. The weather was perfect, not hot. and the kids loved it! OF course, boys and the stuff legends are made of!!! :thumbsup2

Blizzard Beach looks like a hit -- we have been to Typhoon Lagoon but not BB. Is there any shade there? I know my two would love it there -- especially Chelsea with those big water slides.

Ah, AKL! I never get tired of seeing pictures of it. :lovestruc

There were shady spots, yes, so you could certainly be in the sun or out of it, and still enjoy all the features! The slides were definitely part of the excitement!

WOW I finally just caught up!! LOVE IT!!! I could do the tent thing for a day or two but after that back to a Disney resort room for me LOL!!!!! Although I must say Ft. Wilderness has a lot of very fun activities that would be awesome to do!!!!

OH I agree!!! It will be great fun seeing each other then!!! :yay: AND yes, there will be pool-side drinks!!! LOL!!

The camping was interesting, and like I said, Ft. Wilderness seems to have a little something for everyone, and that is probably why people come back so often to the Fort!

I saw a post on Chelsea's FB, how is she doing?
Not sure what was happening, but hope she is okay!!!

Tangerine Dreams for the girls! Jen, I'm printing this post off and taking it with us!!!

YES, Tangerine Dreams!!!! Sounds great!!!

Coming up this week!!!

Tracy

I think the issue was that the older man on the scooter didn't use the regular bike paths, which were there, and chose to be on the main road. It just slowed things down, and then with the kid riding it with him, I think there were too many cars around...

BLUE ZOO!!!! :worship: Serenity yep, so good!!!

Well I hope Michelle is working on that TR!! I am supposed to help with the title, she might have already started it!!! YOUR trip is coming up in two weeks, right?! YAY for you!

We leave 2 weeks from Friday. It will only be my son and I as DH is taking an EMT class at night and can't be off. I am getting very excited!!!

Wow - out of all the updates I missed while I was away, yours was the biggest. I have to come back later and see your pictures, but kudos to you for camping one night. :worship: I'm sure it was a great experience for everyone and you can cross one more resort of your list.

I can't wait to sink my teeth into some sushi at the Cali Grill! YUM!

Glad the kids finally made it to Blizzard Beach. Sounds like you had a great day!

Can't wait to hear about your BluZoo dinner.

I hope Michelle didn't start the TR yet because I haven't seen it. I don't want to be too far behind!

Well I think she might have been waiting for me! I was in Miami for work, so now I got to get my act together!! LOL!! Sushi at Cali, oh I ate it in October as well!!!! :)

We did have a great time all around.... off to AK next!!!

I loved seeing your FB posts from Hilton Head, we spent one night there on our way back from a cruise a few years ago and I was really impressed! I bet you had great weather!!!

FW looks great, I don't see us bringing camping equipment across the atlantic :rotfl: but a cabin certainly is an option. We visited FW last year to attend backyard BBQ and really enjoyed our evening wandering around.

Oh I hear you!!! I agree, it is definitely not something I would haul from your neck of the woods either!!! AND speaking of the woods, I would again totally stay in a cabin for Xmas.... in fact, if we do Christmas at Disney in 2012, which is a DISTINCT possibility! I think I would be hard pressed to not go to the cabins... or try to get into WLV!!! Such a great place for the season! But cabins in the summer would be fun too... like camp!!!

After a day at Blizzard Beach, we were ready to get over to the Animal Kingdom... what a great resort!!! I LOVE IT!!! We were definitely all ready to take a shower and get cleaned up!

Wont you come along for the advenure called: "walk to find our room" ?

:rotfl:

I think this is where DS9 was busy looking for Mickey Heads in the bedding...

Summer2011648.jpg

Just a few snaps before the room gets chaotic!!! LOVE my Mickey Head and my boy of course!!! :goodvibes

AND yes, I had to drag them off the balcony! But I finally got the rugrats into the bath! Then DH and I got cleaned up, and we all headed out for dinner and our evening fun...

Summer2011653.jpg

I LOVE this carpet. Can I just wax poetic on the carpet for a moment??!!:goodvibes

Summer2011645.jpg

Crazy I know, but darn it! I love it!!!!! This always makes me smile!!!

AS does this...

Summer2011644.jpg

Right outside the room! So fun! We were in a "standard" view studio (so we were reminded by the chain link fence that we were not TRULY in Africa ;) ), but to be frank, even if the view isn't as nice, the idea of seeing a giraffe outside your room is pretty cool anyway you look at it! :thumbsup2

NOW, once we were all presentable, we got into the car and drove off too...

I have to say I REALLY want to stay here some time... I just don't know what other Resort stay choice I will be willing to give up instead, in order to do it!!! I have a feeling that we will consider it for February... not sure yet. For that night before the cruise. We'll see!
