Love the update..AKL is on my bucket list of places to stay.
It is really one of my favorites... It is hard to say no to once you have been!!!!
I'm cool with having a giraffe outside my window any time. We loved our AKL stay, and we definitely plan to do it again. We didn't look out at giraffes from our balcony, but we looked straight out at the pool. Like your boys, it was hard to pry ourselves away from staying out there enjoying it.
Cute picture of the boys and Dad heading out to eat.
I know, it really is beautiful and a pool view is pretty cool too!!!

It is so pretty and peaceful there. We were ready for dinner that is for sure! Blizzard Beach really works up an appetite!
Yes a giraffe outside your room is amazing!!! Definitely makes AKV a must do for me in the future! I would so love to stay there some day!!
Now to somewhere I have stayed before Boardwalk!! I love that resort!!!! So beautiful!!! You should stay there sometime I know you would love it!!!
OOH Blue Zoo...can't wait to hear about your meal there!!
Oh you'll love it at AKL for sure!!! I am looking forward to trying out Boardwalk for certain!!!
all caught up! I admit when I saw you went to the WL pool I was surprised you didn't go to the new one at the fort. They were building it when we stayed at the cabins so we never got to try it but it looks so cool! I'd love to camp there actually but the logistics of getting gear from here to there to do it seems a bit crazy!

It would be fun though.
Impressive that you packed up, checked in at AKL and still made it to BB by 10!
We really wanted to be somewhere we were familiar with, and I wasn't really thinking about the pool there, b/c I didn't know what it was like at the time... I think since we were not making a day of it, and I knew about the bar at WLV, it made it easier!
Oh, we normally probably wouldn't have been so efficient... but sleeping outside doesn't exactly lend itself to leisurely sleeping in!!!

Trust me, we were all chomping at the bit to get to the water park, And taking down a tent is always faster!!! LOL!!!
Great update. So glad you posted, because I remembered I still hadn't seen your cmaping/BB pictures. I just love all the pictures of your boys - too cute! I especially love the ones with them eating marshmellows. That really looks like a ton of fun.
AKL is my favorite DVC resort. I just love it there. Something about the animals and the peacefulness of the place. It's really meditative for me.
I, too, am hoping to try BWV. I am going to try to change part of my June ressie to stay there for three days. We'll see.
BlueZoo - YUM!
It took a while, I know! BUT finally I am done! And I am woefully behind everywhere else!!!!

I agree 100% about AK. SO lovely.
BWV seems like a good spot for us in February before the cruise. So if we go then, I don't think we will do BW in the summer with the boys... still entirely on the fence, but we still have time!
A final night at AKL is just perfect!
I love your view.
I'm so excited about staying at Kidani for the first time next summer.
Yep, it was a perfect ending to an EPIC trip! You will love it there as will your nephews! And new niece!
In reading a few other posts, I realized I had missed a whole page of updates. I think it was my subconcious purposely skipping those updates, though, because that's the day you
didn't get to meet up with us and
jeremysdisneymom at Wilderness Lodge, isn't that right???
Oh I have been power updating!!! I have to get this dang thing done, and I finally did today!!! STRESS relief!!!
YES, yes yes, you are right!!!!

That was the day! It was so busy and I wish we had made that work, but I was so glad to meet you in person last month!!!
Looks like the boys had a blast spending the day in the water, though.

We have not taken the girls to either water park yet. There has been discussion of Jill and John taking Brooklynn for a day this summer while Bella and I have a day to ourselves in the parks. We'll see how that plays out. Since we don't have premium AP's, it would require an out-of-pocket cost, and that's probably just over a hundred dollars for the three of them for what would probably be a half day activity. I'm betting that it won't happen, but in about another year or two, they will both be able to enjoy it.
Anyway, sorry I missed that set of pictures. I would like my Fort Wilderness camping to be done in a nice Airstream, I think, but I know those boys loved the tent camping.
I would say this was the best age, and next summer would be better... you still have time for your girls are even younger, and I would say the $ wouldn't be worth it until they are bigger anyhow... I think it was a great day for us finally, because they both could enjoy it, but are just now growing into it... more in the next few years I am sure.
OH Airstream ALL the way, MeMom, you and I BOTH!!! I want one of those when I retire!!! Then I will go work at the Fort!!!!
I love AKL! I could set and look at the animals all day. And the detail in that resort is amazing.
Can't wait to hear about Blue Zoo.
It was so beautiful!!! ARE YOU TOTALLY EXCITED!!!! I AM JUMPING OUT OF MY SEAT!!!! Just a few more days, right??!!!
