We retire in 18 years. I want to be a SNOW BIRD and work at WDW! Tips pls?

When we were there in November we had a long talk with this man who had retired and moved to work at Disney(not from Canada). Like someone else said about the magic fading when you are in it all the time, is how he felt, but he did love the flexibility, he only worked one night a week and was able to work the same shift as his wife. He said the pay was not good but the benefit of getting the park passes for his grandkids made it worth while.

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I dream of working at WDW, especially during the cold winter months. But the Magic might disappear for me once it just becomes a JOB. There's a BIG DIFFERENCE between going to Disney on a vacation and going as a CM. I'm not sure how much fun I would have at Disney if I'm a CM who has to work a shift in 110 degree summer temp and continue to smile even if I'm having a really rough day. I'm sure my insider behind-the-scenes knowledge as a CM would change my experience with Disney and the way I feel about it. I prefer to keep Disney the way it is for me now...with the Magic still intact.
