Hi Guys

I had to share with someone.

2 months ago a close friend of mine received a knock on the door at 8pm from the police. Her partner had been involved in an accident and was in the hospital. Well to cut a long story short he is still in intensive care and we have lived the past few months day by day even hour by hour at times.

In a matter of minutes her life has been totally turned upside down.

It has made me realise life is too short.

Dh and myself have had a dream to move to the country . We have decieded this weekend to go ahead and make plans -it might mean a few less disney holidays in the future but we have to try and do this now.

My head is spinning and IM both excited and nervous.

I know with Christmas its not the best time of year but I figured in Jan / Feb the market might pick up.

I got some boxes today and im going to start decluttering and storing items.

Any advice is welcomed and please say a prayer for Chris

How heartbreaking for your friend, Helen. I'll definitely keep her husband in my thoughts...

As far as you and your husband moving to the country, I say GO FOR IT!!! :thumbsup2 I am a big believer in life being too short. Both my DH and I had a parent die at around 50 so know that from first hand experience. My DH is currently feeling that he doesn't want to keep up the pace of life demanded of him by his company at the moment and spent much of today checking into his pension and all that. TBH I think there'll be a change in our circumstances in the not too distant future...

Anyway, back to you. I do have one piece of advice - which would be to rent for a while before making the commitment to a property and an area. That way you can make absolutely 100% sure that it's for you - without any expensive mistakes. In a nutshell, try before you buy!!!

Good luck - I hope it all works out for you! :goodvibes Keep us posted...
Best wishes,
Karen xxx

I say go for it Helen, it's a cliche but you only live once. As Karen said I would definately try before you buy. Good luck & keep us informed how it's all going.

My thoughts to your friend & her husband.

hope it all works out for you

How exciting Helen, I hope it all goes well  Thinking of your friend's partner too

Sorry to hear about your friend.

I would say go for the move as life is way too short and since we only get one shot at it we be as well enjoy it all we can.:thumbsup2
