I was solo for the first 3 days and ate only CS during that time. I'll get this part done quick so we can move on to the really good stuff :)

Restaurantosorus (AK)

This is really a McDonalds; the dinosaur theming is cute, and food was good enough. I had a basic cheeseburger and fries with soda. The fixin' bar was pretty good with mushrooms, sauerkraut, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes and other unidentified things. The DDE card is accepted here.
Nothing exciting, but not bad either.

Cosmic Ray's (MK)

I finally got to try this CS after reading so many good reviews here. I wasn't disappointed ! It was very cold in MK that night and I was craving mashed potatoes. I had the half-chicken rotisserie, that comes with mashed potatoes and green beans. The potatoes were SO good. So were the green beans. I didn't think I'd be able to eat the chicken since it was still on the bone (I have major issues with meat) but it smelled so good, I had to try. It was cooked perfectly. This place is a little more costly than most CS, but it's much better too. I'd definitely come back.

Intermission food court (ASMU)

I ate there a couple times, since I was staying at ASMU. The DDE card is accepted there. Breakfast technically starts at 6am, but only the bakery and grab'n'go sections are open at that time. They only start the real breakfast (eggs,waffles...) at 7am. I didn't want to wait, so I just had a bagel and cream cheese which was good but not worth taking a picture of :)

The next time I ate there was for lunch, and I had my usual favorite "value food court" meal of chicken penne pasta and cranberry juice.
For once, it was still hot by the time I found a table (the food court was rarely busy) and it was very good.

The next day I went for late-night snack of celery and carrot sticks (comes with ranch dip) and chocolate cake. I'm usually not a fan of chocolate cake but they always have that one in the Values and I love it. There is, I think, fudge icing on top and they decorate it differently depending on the seasons.

Backlot Express (MGM)

MGM is the park I'm always getting lost in, and Backlot Express is the only CS I can somewhat locate easily. I was going to get a burger, but the place has no fixin' bar, so I got the grilled turkey and cheese sandwich instead. It came with fries and was pretty good once I opened it & got rid of all the red peppers. A decent CS in MGM, if you need one and are in the Star Tours area.

Signing on! Thanks for the great pictures!

(Still solo)

Main Street Bakery (MK)

I hadn't planned to go there, but here I was at MK opening and the cinnamon smell coming from the bakery was yummy. The next thing I knew I was ordering french toast loaf. This was really good, not overly cinnamony. I liked it better without the syrup on top though.
One thing I didn't like about the place : mirrors everywhere !!! AS IF I wanted to look at myself while scarfing down that 1000-calorie slice of heavenly goodness.

Sorry about the bad pics. Still having trouble with interior shots and I didn't dare put the flash on and draw attention to myself (apparently, most people do not take pics of their food in WDW!).

Pinocchio's Vilage Haus (MK)

This trip I was determined to try the reknown Figaro Fries, which are only available at Pinocchio's Village Haus in MK. These are fries topped with little bits of bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, plus cheese sauce and ranch dressing on top.
I was feeling hungry then and got a kids' meal of mac'n'cheese as well. Kids meals come with choice of 2 sides (I chose grapes and grapes) and a drink (water).

The Figaro fries were good at first, but soon turned into a gooey mess.
I ate the mac'n'cheese before and it was just way too much gooey food in one sitting.
After that, the grapes felt amazing. My favorite part of the meal .

Wolfgang Puck Express (DTD)

My last solo meal. I was switching resorts that day and had time to kill at DTD. Earl of Sandwich was mobbed, so I searched for WPE instead. It's easy to miss, tucked in the back next to the Days of Christmas store.

You order at the counter, pay, are given your drink and a thingy with a number to put on your table. Then, a server will come bring your food to you.

I had their chinois chicken salad which was really good. It's described a "Fresh Asian veggies, sliced pan-roasted chicken breast, crispy wontons, and Wolfgang's famous honey-mustard dressing". The dressing felt more peanuty than honey-mustard to me, and went really well with the wontons and veggies. This was very good and we'd come back with my mom later that week.

and here is the one & only snack I had in the parks for the 10 days I was in WDW. With all the eating we do, I always lose a few pounds while at WDW. I think it may be because we rarely if ever snack, because the meals are so filling.

This is a Minnie bar. The taste was good, the texture was not. I think it's real fruit juice that's been frozen, and it was both lumpy and mushy. I'll stick to Itzakadoozies in the future.

Fantastic review and great photos! That Chinois Salad looks great, i've been wanting to try it but wasn't sure what it looked like...now I know and it looks fab :goodvibes

I agree about the chinois salad. Did you try something different when you went back?

PS I love those Minnie Bars, but then again, I like the fruit bars as opposed to normal ice pops. Also are you sure BE doesn't have a fixin's bar. I went last year and it did, it's tucked away in the corner to the left if I remember...

Yes, I was going to get the salad again then the mac'n'cheese sneaked up on me ;) I'll post the pics of that meal later.
It's very possible that I missed the fixins' bar at Backlot Express, I did see one little "island" thing but it only had ketchup and mustards. Could have been downstairs where the cashiers are, I didn't even think of looking behind me.

On the evening of the 20th my mom joined me
We were staying at Wilderness Lodge by then and shared a meal at their CS.

Roaring Forks (WL)

We shared a pepperoni pizza and fudge brownie. The pizza is the same they make at Mara, more of a flatbread, and much better than the usual Disney CS pizza. The brownie was yummy and HUGE - we split half and kept the other one for the next morning. Totally forgot about it, for all I know it's still in the fridge of room 5006 :)

Whispering Canyon Breakfast

This is the only one of our meals I have no pics of, so I'll try to describe the food as best as I can.
We ordered the skillet and cinnamon glazed french toast, that comes with a side of bacon. The skillet includes scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage, bacon, and potatoes. The french toast was thick and very cinnamony. There was 4 large slices coated with cinnamon glaze.
My mom was starving and ate all of the french toast, bacon, some eggs, potatoes and biscuit from the skillet. I though the eggs and seasoned potatoes were very good. Neither of us touched the sausage, we just don't like it.

Our server was a hoot ! He threw straws at us when he first came. My mom was playing with the crayons that were on the table and, thinking the napkins were paper, almost started drawing on hers. "Lady, lady, you need more coffee!". He brought my mom some Mickey papers to color and stickers. "Just leave my napkins alone."
A lady in the back asked for strawberry jam so they called out to the entire restaurant, asking us to check if any of us had some at our table. No one had, so they brought the lady a whole box of it.

Good food, great fun, we'll definitely be back.

Whispering Canyon Dinner

We were back at WCC that evening for dinner and had the same thing we had in July. My mom ordered the ribs, asking for veggies instead of mashed potatoes. I got the "southwestern" chicken pasta. The sauce has a nice kick to it, and lthe pasta comes with a lot of broccoli which I love.
We didn't have any dessert, but we did eat all of the yummy cornbread.

My mom loves ribs and will only eat them in the US - she loves how the meat is well cooked yet still pink. And she's crazy about the barbeque sauce too. May sound a little nuts if you're used to getting that kind of food regularly, but for her it's a treat. BBQ sauce in France tastes like diaper.

This time my mom wanted the tall Whispering Canyon glass. You can no longer get it with beer, only with margarita, which was fine with her.
You can keep the glass, and it's plastic, so it actually made it home in one piece.
Our server was Bobby the Kid and he was nice, but didn't play any games with us. The place was fairly busy, and we were in the back room. They were doing pony races in the main dining room and ketchup calls. Next time we go to WCC I will ask to be in the main room, close to the action!

Enjoying your reviews.:thumbsup2
I've never been to WCC, but it looks like a place that we would enjoy.
I had the chinois salad this summer. It was the perfect dinner on a very hot summer night.

Great reviews and pictures. Thanks for taking the time to post.
