... and took it down again.
Seriously, we've been looking for a new artificial tree for a few years (we bought our last one in 1987 and it is rather threadbare). We're late decorators (about the 20th December) so by the time we drag it out of the loft each year and remember we were going to replace it, it's so close to Christmas that we can't be bothered.
But this year I remembered and today dragged DH to TESCO and two local garden centres to look at trees. We found a really nice one, with hinged branches at one of the garden centres so DH decided to buy it there and then.
We just put it up to make sure it was all there. (Looking at the leaflet that came with the tree it's from a company in New Jersey.)
Now DD (14) is moaning, "It won't be the same without our old tree - I've never had a Christmas without that tree ..." !!!LOL!!
