Well, we may have to cancel our trip! My FIL has been in and out of the hospital and is having problems again. We are supposed to leave on the 23rd for a week but may postpone. My question is, we bought the 5 day tickets for the price of 3. These tickets expire at the end of April and I am unsure if we would be able to make it to DL before then. I am wondering if I go back to the Disney Store that I purchased them at if they would "trade" them out for me for standard 3 day hoppers that don't expire that soon. I am definitly going to call, I just wondered if anyone has had an experience with a situation like this? :sad1:

Tickets are generally nonrefundable. I would first try the Disney Store explaining your situation. Next I would contact Disneyland direct, since Disney Stores are not owned by Disney they may be able to help you. Explain your situtation and see what they can do. Last resort you exchange them once you get there paying the difference between what you paid & current gate price for the tickets.

In December 2006, DH and I had a trip planned to Disneyland, but our cat went into kidney failure so we cancelled the trip. I called Disney, explained the situation, and they indicated that I would need to sent the tickets back. Upon receipt, they credited the credit card that I used to pay for the tickets. I bought the tickets through their website, so I don't know if it makes a difference if you purchased them elsewhere.

So if we can't go before they expire in April, we can take them when we go later on in the year and exchange them for current tickets (paying any price difference if that changes of course)? Am I reading that the right way?

Thank you to everyone responding. I am really hoping we don't have to cancel. :sad1:

Yes, this is correct. You will have to pay "gate" price, so you will lose any advance purchase discount but that is much better than losing the entire cost.
