We made through the storm of emotions....

the last few days have been some of the longest days since Jim was missing, I want to thank everyone who sent their prayers, pixie dust, Christmas cards and especially to Caroline for her very sweet note!

knowing you all here are so supportive really helped me gt through Christmas. I think I got out all my sadness the night of the 23rd, Megan was so quiet that day too.

Did feel some happiness, but mostly numbness in my heart! I know Jim's spirit was with us, just wanted his body and arms around us, he was the BEST hugger in the world!!

We leave tomorrow to visit our friends in CA and spending NYE with our dearest of them all and their kiddos, get to see my little "bubbies" they love to snuggle with their "Sasa" my nickname since their 3 yr old couldn't say Lisa! so we are so looking forward to seeing them all and bringing in our new year with them.

Thank you again for all your support these past few months, I pray everyone has a wonderful New Year eve with their loved ones and friends and that the New Year brings blessings and good times to all!!! so many of us are in need of a wonderful year!!

Lisa, I think of you often and hope the healing can really begin soon... As we get closer to January 12, I expect the days will get harder.

My mom still can't talk about Haiti. I tried to get her to call you, but she just breaks down into tears when we try to talk about what happened there. I don't know if she'll ever be able to talk about it... I'm glad I got a lot of our conversations in the days after she was rescued on tape, it helped me put the pieces together. Who knows if she'll ever want to watch those... they may help her deal with the memories some day.

I did tell her your story, and about Jim. She's been praying for him and for you.

I hope you have a wonderful time with your friends in CA, and pray that 2011 is a year of great healing...

Kathy, I'm sorry you mom is having such a hard time, I understand her not wanting to talk. Pray that she finds peace with what she went through and maybe someday we will be able to talk.

Please give her a hug from us and I hope the same for you all in 2011.


Everyone, thanks for your kindness, we are so looking forward to our visit and I am "preparing" myself for the 12th....I keep reliving this time last year with Jim and find comfort in our memories of such a happy christmas time and our trip to see friends and family before heading home.
