It was a fun family day. Not all of the rides were open, but a lot of them were. Justin chickened out of a few rides (the only looping coaster he'll ride is RnRC - we must be doing something right!), and Daredevil Rachel rode some rides that scared me from the ground! I don't think there's a ride out there that she won't try - and none of them bother her!

Justin and I like to be scared psychologically, so we're good at watching scary movies together, but we're cowards on the rides (I'm braver than he is, but I used to be a bigger scardy-cat). Gene and Rachel like physical thrills and they ride all the scary rides, but Rachel isn't into scary movies or books.

But today held something for all of us and it was a great day! :teeth:

That settles it! Rachel is DEFINATELY my niece and Sara is definately YOUR niece.:p Sara is a chicken about thrill rides, I could live on thrill rides if I could!

I'm glad you had fun.:) Does it smell like chocolate there?:)

You're so Lucky to be close enough to do that! I loved Hershey when Max & I went there for a couple days this year! I was trying to figure out how to afford a weekend down for the Halloween happenings.... It is a really nice park with something for everyone. Glad you all had fun.
I have a picture from one of the Hershey Coasters as my wallpaper right now....
Already planning to include a trip to Hershey on my route South this summer.

Sounds like a great day, Laura! We had thought we might drive up there last weekend, but plans sort of fell through.

We are considering a trip up there around the holidays. Is it even open, and if so, do they have things done up for the holidays at that time?

We went last weekend! Love it! We go every year for Halloween! Low crowds, very reasonable and the kids have a blast! Mine are dare devils! DS, 4 even road the superduperlooper front seat! LOVE IT!

Snoopy, and anyone else considering Hershey for the Holidays...
visit Hershey's Main Page for park happenings...there are links for the Halloween and Christmas holidays, and also a link (somewhere in there) to sign up for there events newsletter, which gives you details on packages & events as they arise, concert info, and other park happenings. They usually have several great events over the winter, including a Valentine's Day package, and I seem to recall a "teddy bear" weekend from in the past (that may have had something to do with Christmas, I'm sorry, i don't recall the details)

I'm glad you had a great time.

I was there last Friday night for Hersheypark in the Dark. It's great. If you can make it out there for their Christmas themes, that's beautiful! :)
