We are supposed to leave for the World on Sunday and my little girl is SICK! She has had a cold for about 5 days now, and it seems to be s-l-o-w-l-y moving its way through her. She is still very snotty, and coughing, and has a yucky tummy. UGH!!!!!! I wouldn't be so scared except for her history -- her colds often last a long time and often turn into sinus infections. Nothing is quick with this kid.

Please send some major pixie dust my way that she kicks this thing before Sunday!!! We already had to postpone her birthday party...she would be devastated if we had to postpone Disney too!!!

Sending some get-well pixie dust your way! :wizard:

This is my biggest fear about our Feb. trip. We're recovering from colds here as well, and I hope there are no recurrences in the next few weeks.

If you're flying, it might be worth a trip to the doc just to make sure her ears are OK, especially if she's prone to sinus infections. Five days is still a long time for her to recover. Even if she's not 100% snot-free, she'll be feeling much better and ready to take on the world, I'm sure! Have a great trip!

I hope she feels better soon :flower3: We are also leaving for WDW on Sunday. I started giving the DS some Immunity Complex (alka seltzer brand of Airborne)
just today. I know its not a cure, but hopefully it will keep him feeling great and keep some of the 'yukies' away. Actually, we all took some today!
Wishing you a fantastic trip :)

We leave Saturday and my DD just came downstairs cryng saying her belly hurts! Oh NO!

pixie dust to all - but you are speaking to a mom who experienced the stomache flu with the kids - first night on our Magic Your Way all inclusive visit 2 years ago.....

DD (7) got sick the night we arrived at Fantasmic (and try getting out of that place in a hurry with a child vomitting). Then DD(9) woke up at midnight on the first night at POR and basically every 20 minutes after that. Day 2 was a complete write off but by afternoon I had the girls out in the sun and fresh air (in their PJ's) trying to bake the flu out of them. The whole week I was nervous to eat and that isn't much fun on the meal plan.

But hey, I can't think of anywhere else I'd rather be to make me feel better!!

Think positive and give her some rest and fluids. I hope some Mickey Magic comes your way!

My dd got sick 4 days before our last trip with high fever ? something no one could pin down (ear infection, throat etc). My GP actually suggested cancelling our 2 week holiday because she may still be sick for the first couple of days. My dd is the sort that feels sick until she has some paracetemol (once her fever comes down she is charging around the house until the drugs wear off). I was still giving her paracetemol at 4 am the morning we flew out but magically her fever broke after that. He thought I was a terrible parent for not cancelling.

Think positive thoughts, 5 days is still a long time. Pack some drugs and enjoy. I will have my fingers crossed for you.

I hope you little one gets better fast! I hate this time of the year bc it always seems that my kids are always getting sick. We leave next Fri and my DD6 has the flu and a lung infection. :scared1: She's on antibiotics for the infection and the doctor said that the flu will jsut have to run it's course. She's had a fever since Sun and we just can't get it to go away! Anyway, I hope you daughter gets well soon and that you and your family have a wonderful trip!:wizard:
