So, we just got back from our week long trip.
It was AWSOME :thumbsup2
The croweds during the week were low, waits for rides were short, we saw lots of characters and just had a blast.
The weekend was supper busy (they had Jr Cheerleading competition at DCA) but it was still fun.
The hotel was awsome (Residence Inn Main Gate). The weather was incredible.

I WANT TO GO BACK!

Glad you had such a wonderful trip...that is my life long dream to go to a Disney park when it's not too busy. Unfortunately, we always run with the masses who go during school breaks. Sounds like a great trip :goodvibes

Give us a little trip report. I am especially curious about your hotel. We have stayed at Park Vue and love it but we are currently planning a family trip of 20 people (crazy I know!) for spring 2010. I have heard that the hotel you stayed at provides large rooms....did you like it?

Glad you had a great trip!!!! This is my favorite time of year to visit DLR!

We left Folsom on Tuesday afternoon and drove all the way to Anahiem arriving around 11pm. We didn't plan this so we just got a regular queen room that night at the hotel.
DD fell asleep in the car around 9pm and we just transfered her to bed when we got there. She got us all up at 7am. We got dressed and went to the breakfast provided at the hotel. It was great. Eggs, pankaces, potatoes, yogurt, granola, fruit, toast, waffels etc.
Talked to the front desk and they got us into our room for the rest of the trip that morning (supper cool). The room that we got has a living room with a pull out couch, full size kitchen and then a room with bunk bed (twin on top, full size on buttom) and a bathroom downstairs. Up in the loft is a king size bed and another bathroom. We moved our stuff, got our shuttle tickets for the next 5 days and went off to the park. We were at the park till closing; had dinner at Storyteller's. The next morning it was more of the same. We went on a bunch of rides, saw shows and at the end of the day walked back to the hotel and then just a bit down the street to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. That was one awsome dinner.
That is a quick report. I am at work right now.
The hotel was great. Service there was great and we got our room for $69 a night; which was a supper awsome deal. They have a pool and two spas. They provide free grocery shopping service and the buffet breakfast is free.

wow awsome deal on hotel room, may i ask how you got the deal?
It sounds like you had a wonderful time

OOOH thats wonderful. I hope you make some sort of trip report. It would be nice to hear about your favorite things and what your favorite moments were.

I am curious, too. How/where did you get such a great deal?

TIA

I got the deal on Orbitz.
You need to be able to play with the dates a bit. If I booked just an extra night the price went up to $189 per night for all the nights.
My friend just left today and got the same rate for this week for 4 nights. It almost seams like 4 nights might be the magic number.
Also, you have to pay for all the nights in advance.

I'm so glad your trip was wonderful. These are the best posts to read! :goodvibes

Sounds like you had a great trip. I really like the penthouse at the Residence Inn, and it looks like it turned out great for your family, too. :flower:
