We invite you, if you dare ……… Summer plans 08/04 Day 25

Great photos, love to see Toad Hall! It is a shame WDW has removed some of the old classic rides.

Love to see the bread, I really love crusty loaves, the more I can have the happier I am.

Great Pixie Dust on your AP, it is always good to more for one's money!

Looks like a fabulous time so far! Those eclairs are making my stomach growl! pixiedust: on your AP renewal!

I can not wait to see you both this summer and pray you will be able to visit us at our home!!
Hooray on the pixiedust:of the AP's that is a HUGE savings. I can not wait to see what treasures you shopped for:rotfl:

Love the pictures... Toads Hall... Mr Toads Wild ride is there, yes? I do love that in DL. Wish it was in WDW too.

That is quite the pixie dust! half a year for free!!! :thumbsup2

Enjoy the rest of your trip. :goodvibes Cant wait to read all about it when you get back.

Karin, I'm all caught up again.

I'm sorry for being absent. Since we got back from Florida, I've been putting in 10 hour days at the office, we had the kids visit and made honeymoon excursion plans, etc., Mark is sick and umpping baseball, and I have a trip in 36 days and a wedding in 44.

I'll try to stay more up to date.

Hello:

I just subbed to your pre-trip report(s)! I have to make sure I don't miss anything. One of these days, I'm going to print out your trip report and take a Disney vacation and just do everything you and Tom did!:rotfl2::rotfl2: You always such great ideas.

I have been to DLRP, but only for one day unfortunately (I snuck over there on a trip to France.) I would love to go back and have time to stay on property and see and do everything. Hope you had a great time!:cheer2::cheer2:

Aargh - I missed the DLRP update!

Can't wait to hear all about it and yay for scoring an 18 month pass :)

Well, shoot! I missed he DLRP update too! Off to catch up....welcome home, Karin & Tom!!

Unfortunately, we still do not have plans for August and I don't think we will. Jeff told me about your plans. We would have had a lot of fun. I know we will be back in WDW again and I hope you will be there at the same time.

Elaine, I got your PM and I do really understand why you can't travel this summer. I am sure we will meet again.

:cool1: on getting the cabana!

And... very soon you will be in DLRP!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1: Have an awesome trip!!!

And we are back again, already! :sad2: But we had a fun time! :goodvibes

Only 8 more sleeps for me before THE CRUISE!!!!!!!!

Only 1 more sleep, Rosie! You must be so excited! :dance3:

In DLRP Toad Hall is not a ride. It's a restaurant offering fish and chips. :rotfl:

I could just live off that bread. It is soooooo good and sooooooo cheap! :thumbsup2

We both were stunned when we found out about the AP being good for 18 months. That covers our summer vacation next year! Another 400 Euros saved. :goodvibes

I am drooling over the éclair....haven't had anything since breakfast because we are going to dinner with friends.

I've caught up, I think, on ALL of your TR's. I'm sorry I got so far behind...with going to Florida for a week, the workload at the office and the wedding, I'm going nuts.

Michelle, we can't wait either! :goodvibes
We are definitely planning on visiting you. I just love driving and admiring the countryside!
No Dooney shopping this time. We just picked up a few bits and pieces for friends. ;)

Unfortunately DLRP does not have Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Toad Hall is a restaurant that offers fish and chips. It is pretty neat inside and out though. :thumbsup2

We were SO surprised when the CM handed us the AP. I first thought she had only given us half a year until I noticed the year. Awesome to have tickets covered until November 2014! :goodvibes

How fun! Love the AP deal

Thanks, Jen! We had a lot of fun. The AP deal was the icing on the cake! :cheer2:

Kathy, I know how hard it is to stay caught up. ;) :goodvibes I still need to finish catching up on your last trip to Florida.
Can't believe the wedding is in 44 days. :scared1: It's like it was yesterday that they got engaged. pixiedust:

I am so glad to have you on board for the planning (and side tracked trip reports to Paris and Italy. ;))

One day at DLRP sounds like a fun first impression of the park. We go on a very regular basis and we still discover so many new and neat things. The addition on Toy Story Land at the Studios and WoD at the Disney Village were wonderful. :thumbsup2 You really need to come back to check it all out.

Don't know how I miseed the DLP update !!!Great pix as always Karin!!

No problem, Rosie! I am sure you had other things on your mind. :boat:

Aargh - I missed the DLRP update!

Good thing I didn't do much posting lately, but I will try to get going and have everything done by the time we leave for the US again. Then start all over again......... :rotfl2:

Rosie, we just love late dining. We had to switch to early dining on our last cruise and always felt a bit rushed. Not to mention there were far more kiddos at early dining than late. ;)

I'm really looking forward to hearing about DLP. Those photos you posted from your trip have me so excited to see some more DLP. Hope you had a great time!

Starting my trip report in a few minutes. I have one day nearly all written up, so I guess it's time to get the (DLRP) show on the road. ;) :goodvibes

If it makes you feel better I LOVE late dining, early is a pain to me.

Jen, I am so with you on the early dining. We felt so rushed to be there on time all the time. I would not have given up my late dining, had it not been for my girl ANA! :goodvibes

Disneyland Paris April 27 - May 1

Day 1, April 27

Disney Magic at its best! - Part 1

The first alarm went off at 3.30am. Hm, well, how much breakfast will we need? Not much, means good night again until 4am. At 4am we crawled out of bed after a very short night, got showered and dressed and quickly prepared a roll with some ham and some Diet Coke for breakfast. Breakfast out of the way Tom got Pixie’s feeder filled and after one last cuddle with the kitty cat, which had a cat sitter come in while we were gone, we were out of the house.
I could not believe that by 4.50am we were actually in the car and on our way to the airport. No traffic in the wee hours of the morning made for a smooth drive to the airport which is about 20 minutes away. We stopped in front of departures, unloaded our luggage and headed inside to send the suitcases on their way. Luggage dropped off we headed back to the car to park it in the carpark. A few minutes later we were back in the airport, and after a short stop at the ATM we went through security, browsed through the Duty Free shop and then joined the line in front of our departure gate.
It didn’t take long and the gate was opened and we were allowed to walk over to our plane. Once inside we took our seats and when I looked out the window I saw how our suitcases were loaded onto the plane.

Yeah, at least one piece of our luggage was on board. We actually rolled out a few minutes early and were on our way in no time.
It did not take long to reach cruising altitude and the flight attendants were handing out

chewy Granola bars and offering drinks. I think Tom had Coke, while I had some water to go with it. It was a pretty fine snack to have in the early morning. It seemed like only minutes and we were told that we had started the descend on Frankfurt airport

and soon after landed there. The plane was parked at an outside location and we were taken to the terminal by bus. Inside the terminal we checked if the gate for our next flight had changed and since it had not we decided to find out where it was. Luckily for us it was just down the hall, so we had time to check out the rest of the terminal.
We walked through a few of the shops, then walked back again and finally came up with the idea of trying to find the bakery we had had snacks at on our flight to Orlando. We looked it up at one of the Help Kiosks and were happy to see that there was one in our terminal and it was just a few gates down. So we walked over and they again were offering a lot of yummy treats again. Tom picked an

Mozzarella and Tomato sandwich with Pesto and Arugula, while I craved something sweet again,

a Chocolate Croissant. We picked up some Diet Coke as well, paid for our snacks, then found a deserted gate, sat down and had a relaxed little break.
Right when we were finishing up, Tom got a text that indeed our departure gate had been changed and even though it was still in the same terminal it was much further down the hallway. So we started our trek towards the gate, which took quite some time, then joined the waiting crowd.
It was close to boarding and we stood a little by the side where the scanning machines for travellers with bar code tickets were. And when they finally opened boarding and most everyone streamed over to the regular boarding area we just put our tickets on the screen and let ourselves in. Within a few seconds we were walking down to the plane, got on and got seated.

Before we knew it the plane was pushing back and we were rolling towards take off. It didn’t take long and we were offered more snacks. This time it was

a small container of Muesli and another one containing joghurt. There was also another cute little foldable spoon packed in there as well.

We were both pretty pleased with this breakfast snack and together with some drinks we it was gone quickly.

About half an hour after we had finished our snacks we landed at Charles de Gaulle airport,

got off the plane and hiked over to the luggage claim area. It takes forever at CDG to retrieve your luggage and we patiently waited until the first pieces of luggage fell out onto the conveyor belt. We waited and waited and waited some more and finally after lots of other luggage had already been delivered, ours was coming our way.
Everything got loaded onto the luggage cart and then we headed over to the rental car desks. We got in line and it took quite a while until it was our turn and we were assigned a car. Up to the car park we went, checked the car thoroughly this time, got the rental car rep to make some more notes of dents and scratches on the car and then after loading everything into our car we were off to our destination.
The drive takes about 50 minutes and shortly before 1am we arrived at the Adagio hotel, our home for the next 4 nights. We didn’t expect our villa to be ready when we parked our car as check in is after 4pm, but we at least wanted to check in.

To be continued .......

Yay, you've started your DLRP report !!

You haven't even got to the parks yet and it's making me want to go back :)
