We HAVE to go back! And for the Holidays this time! We leave tomorrow!!!

Thank you! I sure hope so! Emma is such a daddy's girl, it'll be nice to have a little one that wants to cuddle with me!

HmmmI can't say that my DS likes to cuddle a ton since he is all boy and always on the go but when he is in the mood he is so sweet and cuddles with me way more than DH. He also wants me above anyone else when he is hurt or upset which I love! He clings to me in new places as well. He certainly does prefer me over anyone else. It's nice. So at least you have that to look forward to. And he will always protect his mama :thumbsup2

Yeah, maybe he won't be a cuddler, but hopefully he'll wanna hang with mom with both parents are around! :lmao:

Yay a boy!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!

Thank you!! We're so excited to have one of each!! :yay:

Hey everyone! Nothing exciting to report. No changes (still trying to adjust some ARDs, but no luck...yet!), no new news. Just had to share what I figured out just yesterday...

:banana::banana::banana: We only have 48 days til Disney!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

Ok, that's all. Just had to share. As you were. ;)

Thank you so much!! The more time passes, the more excited I get!

Dum dums are a great idea! Emma loves them so hopefully those will help! We're stocking up on crayons, coloring books, and stickers, too. Fingers crossed she's a happy camper!

Hey everyone!!

I can't believe it's been a couple of weeks since I posted anything! And I really can't believe we have less than a month til our vacation! :woohoo:

Our one laptop for the house that was a little older finally bit the bullet. Not sure what happened. One day it was fine, the next it wouldn't even turn on  Needless to say, by the time J gets home with the Mac I have very little time (or energy) to update. Most of my weekend time is usually busy with yoga/Advocare. Which is great (more work means more money), but I turn around and it's Sunday night again another busy week is set to start. We do have an iPad which is nice, but it's not easy to post on. I can't even apply color or change the font! Lol! So I decided to update today, sans any bells or whistles. Y'all forgive me, right?

Anyway, I think Emma is really getting excited about Disney! :yay: She plays with the app for Disneyland. I know it's not the same, but at least she'll get the idea of the theme park. She's learning more names of characters and I've started playing Disney music for her! She actually dressed up as Minnie Mouse for Halloween! I'll post a picture later this week. I also bought her a Cinderella costume at target, but she hasn't seen it yet. I'm hoping she'll get a chance to dress up in both while we're there!

Ok everyone! I need serious help on traveling with a toddler!! J has to take a later flight down on our arrival day, which means I'll be alone with Emma on the plane and DME while almost 7 months pregnant!! Anyone have any tips at all?! I'm planning on bringing my phone and iPad to entertain her along with crayons, snacks, etc. Any other words of wisdom? I know we'll be fine, I just want as little drama as possible (which is asking a lot because she has officially become a drama queen!). TIA!

What is everyone's plans for Thanksgiving? Our families are all close, which means 3 meals in a 2 day period. Gonna definitely have to do a little healthy eating between thanksgiving and Disney!

I wanna see the pic of Emma as Minnie!

We're going to Lancaster for Thanksgiving with Kris's parents, his sister, and niece & nephew. They all live in different areas so we're going out to dinner at some restaurant there. I'm so used to spending it with my family and having a home cooked meal so I'm not sure how I feel about it. But he came with me the past two Thanksgivings so it's my turn now.

Got a couple of pics coming up!! :thumbsup2

Ah, the joys of holiday compromises! ;) Does Kris's family usually go out to eat for Thanksgiving? I totally get the benefit of going out to eat. No stress about cooking or cleaning. But the idea of not having leftovers! :scared1: I know, I know. I'm a bit of a drama queen. But seriously, I'm craving a pilgrim sandwich right now! :p

25 DAYS LEFT!!
Can you believe it?! I guess now it would be ok to start packing, eh? I have Emma's bag of goodies (Tink gifts) put together. I'll take an organized pictures this week and post. Got the basics of coloring books, crayons, etc. I also bought her a Sleeping Beauty doll. She has Cinderella, so I thought that might be a nice way to wake up on our departure day!

Anyway, here is a picture of Emma in her Halloween costume.

And here we are on Emma's first official trick or treat outing! Plus a shot of my growing belly (6 months now!!)

I'm going to try and post again this weekend! We have to take the doggies for a walk while the sun is out (since it sets at 5pm these days!). Have a wonderful Saturday, everyone!!

She looks so cute in her Minnie costume! Your trip is so close!

I think they usually go to his sister's house in Maryland but I'm not sure if they go out or eat there. That's what I'm saying. I want leftovers! Plus we're eating at 2 so I'm like 'uhhhh what's for dinner?' :rotfl: I wish we were close enough to go to my Mom's for dessert but we're going to be 2 1/2 hours away!

Hey everyone! I'm so sorry for not posting in a while. We had some crazy stuff go on (mention that in a a second), plus I've been picking up extra yoga classes. Gotta have more money for Disney World, right? I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got beyond full! :thumbsup2

Got a little life update first. Our Thanksgiving Day was pretty good. We had two meals to devour that day. Dinner was at the in-laws who live about an hour away. On the drive home, Emma got sick. I thought she might have just got a little carsick because she was looking at the IPad. Note to self: ALWAYS have plenty of wipes and a change of clothes (thank goodness we did!). We honestly didn't think much of it.
The next day was supposed to be a late lunch at my mom's. I agreed to cook quiet a few sides and desserts for her since she had to work on Thanksgiving. I had a brief break during the cooking so we decided to take Emma and the dogs on a walk. We were about a block and a half from our house when we noticed Emma (who was in a stroller and very quiet) and thrown up again. J didn't think much of it, but I could tell something was wrong. Emma was staring off into space and totally unresponsive. We rushed home and immediately called 911. Emma was very limp and was not saying or doing anything. The paramedics arrived shortly and she had actually started to turn blue. Y'all, this was the absolute most scariest thing that has every happened to me in my entire life!
J rode with Emma in the ambulance and I drove to the hospital to meet them there. Side note: I called my mom to let her know and thank goodness she had enough sense to tell me to turn off the stove and oven.
I got to the hospital and Emma was sleeping on her dad. The nurse and tech assured me she was fine at this point. I'm sure you can imagine what a mess I was. My hormones are all over the place these days! They examined her and it was determined that she had a fever induced seizure. I don't know who has read my previous PTR, but Emma two when she was around 1 year old. Children eventually grow out of them, usually by age 4 or 5. And it is more often harder on the parent to witness than it is on the child. This time was different in that she was turning blue and thus losing oxygen.
The cause of her fever was determined to be an ear infection. We were glad that it was nothing more serious (last time it was a UTI and that was followed up with more heart-wrenching doctor visits). Emma is now on antibiotics and doing well! She was honestly back to her old self by the time we got home. :goodvibes
I just wanted to let you all know my "legitimate" excuse for not posting or replying to TRs or PTRs. Things have definitely calmed down and we are back in the holiday spirit. We even found time to put up our Christmas tree!!

And!!!!!! We are now 11 Days from DISNEY WORLD!!!:cheer2: Can you believe it!? It seems like just yesterday we were debating on taking the trip (meaning I was trying my darndest to convince J we "needed" this trip for Emma!). Well, now it's around the corner!

Tomorrow we are able to do online checkin. I think I'm going to try it out this year. We haven't done it our last two trips, but if I can have a quicker and less painless checkin with Emma (since I'll be alone, oh and almost 7 months pregnant!), it should be good. Of course we can always hope and pray for a little pixie dust! pixiedust:

AND!!!! Some of you I'm sure have heard the rumors of Disney testing out the Fast Pass+ system, right? If not, Disney is trying this new method of FPs where you select a few FPs for rides/attractions before you leave. Some people might find that irritating, especially if you don't know what park you'll be at and on which day. But for OCD crazies like me, it sounds great!
Lots of folks were receiving emails for these and I was desperately searching my inbox and spam mail for something, but nothing arrived. Then yesterday in the snail mail guess what we got!

FAST PASS+!!!!!!!!
:woohoo:

I'm excited to try it out and see how it works. We got to pick one day for Magic Kingdom and got to choose 4 attractions. I picked some character meet and greets along with Dumbo and Aladdin Carpet Ride (they offered some of the bigger rides, but this trip is about Emma ;)). As long as we make it to the character meet and greets, I'll be good. I think Emma is more excited about meeting Mickey and friends than riding Space Mountain. Then we got another day at Hollywood Studios where we could select up to 3. Toy Story was the first choice, followed by Indiana Jones (poor J hasn't seen this and really wants to) along with the Disney Junior show (again, Emma would probably enjoy this more than ToT). Even if we don't get all of the things done, I'm hoping to get most accomplished.

This along with getting our DME tags definitely puts the trip within our reach!! Now that the luggage is out of the attic I need to start actually packing. Just gotta be prepared for warm to freezing weather. :upsidedow

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! December 1st, y'all! Time to get on that holiday shopping!!

Oh, and here's a picture of Emma enjoying a breakfast treat of donuts last weekend!

How scary! I'm glad Emma is ok.

I can't believe your trip is so close! Almost single digit dancing time for you.

Kris's sister got the FP+ testing back in September. Since I booked their trip they sent it to me about a week prior. Luckily they were still able to use it on such short notice!

Thanks, Jenny! She's doing much better now.

Yeah, super close :rotfl:

I'm excited about trying the FP+! We'll see if we can get most of the stuff done!

Seriously, our trip is TOMORROW!!!!!!!!! :cool1::faint::banana:

I really can't believe the past 6 months have gone by so quickly! I did something very abnormal and waited until the last second to pack (scary I know). The weather was kind of going back and forth, so I wanted to wait until the last second to see if it was going to be average or possibly like the frost of 2010 (that's the year I think it actually snowed!).

Anyway, I'm packed! Emma is packed! J, not so much. He may wait until 9pm tonight :scared1: My plan/hope/prayer is to leave the house by 6:30am to get to the airport by 7. We're flying Southwest and when I did online check in this morning, Emma and I got B boarding. Not horrible, but not great. I'm really hoping they'll do family boarding! :worship: I mean, an almost 7 month pregnant lady with a toddler, have some sympathy please! ::yes::

If all goes well, Emma and I should get to AKL by 2:30ish tomorrow. J won't arrive until 9 or so (gotta love the job thing). So tomorrow will be an easy, do whatever day.

Not sure if I updated my ARD's lately, so here goes:

Thurs: breakfast at Crystal Palace
early dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern before MVMCP

Fri: breakfast at Hollywood and Vine
dinner at Cape May Cafe

Sat: breakfast at Boma
early dinner at Garden Grill for Candlelight Processional

Sun: breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table
(wow this trip is so short!)

I'll try to post at least once while we're there (should be easier since I'll have J's computer as opposed to just my phone).

I hope everyone has a wonderful week and weekend! We're off to celebrate the holidays a little early! :santa:
