and they are delivering it to the resort. His new wheelchair won't be in for the trip, and the MM seemed the best choice for this time.

I am taking his old GAC with me and will get a new one first day. He wants to try Soarin' this time and possibly Splash Mountain. Anything I need to know about using the stroller as a wheelchair for these lines?

Thanks!

Since Splash has stairs, you will go most of the way through the queue and then be diverted.

::yes::
As you get to the stairs, look around for a chained off area with a wheelchair symbol on it. That's the bypass for the stairs.

The only thing I would say about Soarin' is that the first 1/2 of the line has a fairly steep uphill grade and the second 1/2 has a failry steep downhill grade - so keep good hold of that stroller.
You will bring the stroller right into the 'theater area'. You can park it as close to the seat as you want, he will transfer out and then the CM will move the stroller off to the side for you. It will be in exactly the same place when you get back.
Also, even if he is tall enough not to use the extra strap, it will give more security to use it. Here's a picture of the seat, showing the extra strap.

Thank you both. How tall does he need to be for the strap? He's 49" right now.

Smaller kids need to use the strap. I don't know what the height is where they don't need to use it anymore is - there is a small red 'flying' mark on the seat that you can see on this picture. If you are taller than the mark, you don't need to use the extra strap. But, you still can if you want. We always use it with DD (my MIL uses it too because she is afraid of heights).

I'm sure all three of them will use it! I sure hope he gets to ride it and doesn't have a panic attack. He's watched the video of the ride (showing how it works, etc) a million times. He wants to so badly, but you just never know if he'll make it on this time. Last time was a definite no go.
