Just told hubby and kiddos and they were all doing the "happy dance":dogdance: It just seemed to fit for our family and we just decided tonight. After all the research and going back and forth a zillion times, it is finally good to have made a decision that we feel 100% HAPPY WITH:dance3: A BIG THANK YOU BUZZ2001 FOR YOUR SITE, PICTURES, INFORMATION and to everyone that has given good feedback on the resort. The thread I posted about CSR and recent pics, got a GREAT response and thanks for everyone who responded because it really helped in our decision making:cheer2: Now, the countdown is on. Summer 2008 WDW and CSR HERE WE COME:mickeyjum

That is what Summer Vacation is all about. When you have kids, it is the best time to go:) and that is when we want to go on vacation. You look forward to school being out and summer vacation:lovestruc We already live in a southern climate so the heat is the "norm" for us:cool2: We are excited!

Well we always go during Christmas break and though it was a little chilly, alot better than the heat.

I am from Dallas Texas so heat is okay for me, its the humidity that gets me.

But have fun! CSR is really awesome and close to all the parks since its centrally located. We were there for 8 days and only once we had to skip a bus ride to one of the parks due to no more room.

Humidity is the "norm" for us where we live too. You just have to find ways to adapt and overcome. We've been on vacation in the North before during July/August and summer can be HOT too and really, I don't find much difference humidity wise living in the South than being HOT in the North. It is all summer heat and what summer is about. Hubby can't do Christmas break so it isn't an option for us. I like looking forward to a summer vacation after a long schoolyear:thumbsup2 It is always the highlight of our summer memories. I think anytime you go to Disney, whether it be spring, summer, fall or winter, whenever your schedule fits, you are lucky cuz you are at DISNEY and that is always "COOL" :) :)

AWESOME! Have a great trip!!

Good choice. We loved CSR and the food court. I think it is a great choice for your first trip. You can book a few dinners at other resorts and check them out for your next trip. LOL.:rotfl: Then your decesion wont be so hard. Have fun planning the rest of your trip:thumbsup2

I know exactly what you mean!

Although a different resort was the right choice for our family, it's so wonderful to finally make up your mind. There are SO many choices out there and so many things to weigh... it's a great relief when you know you've made the right choice.

Now... on to ADR's:rolleyes1

I know how you feel I chose CSR last weekend...Thought the decision making was over. Now it is on to ADR's....
Isn't it fun:lmao:

Go with your first instincts, you'll only know if you experience for yourself.

By the number of posts/questions you've created to decide on a resort, you must be driving yourself crazy. Just go with your gut and stay with your choice in CSR. You won't be disappointed. Have a great time!

Wasn't that post about not being able to go in Summer a little bit of a rain on this family's parade?

The "negative" facts about summer: big crowds, hot weather. Now the positives facts about summer at WDW: everything is at full operating capacity with tons of summer help and everything is OPEN, very little rehabbing. All services, such as transport, dining and every little kiosk that you sometimes see covered in the parks most of the year are open and ready! Summer vacation memories at WDW are some of my favorites, walking around at night when its 75 degrees, swimming in the pools all day and night, etc. all GREAT! So what, its crowded? When isn't it crowded???

Some advice from a (summer) seasoned vet: Plan well in advance what you want to see and do. Don't waste time on marginal things that don't interest you, that could include staying away from everything from an entire park to something as small as avoiding an attraction. Get fast passes and when you're done getting fast passes, get more fast passes! Get up and out early, work your plan! Today we want to do this this and this, the earlier you are, the shorter the lines are. Last but not least...REST! Take time out to enjoy the pool, relax and rejuvinate yourself EVERYDAY. This will help you and your family beat the heat. Whatever you do, don't make it work, make it fun and you'll have memories for a lifetime.

Thanks for noticing that. I thought to myself, why in the world even mention that? Couldn't quite figure out the purpose of it all :) Summer for us is all about a vacation somewhere and making memories. It truly is the "highlight" of our summer vacation :) :) Thanks for noticing that though. I thought I was being oversensitive but I caught it as just not necessary. Have a great day :) We still are checking things out and hopefully we'll have it all figured out here real soon. THANKS!

:surfweb: congrats:banana:  Im so jealous, im trying to talk my wife into choosing the CSR for our trip in July, I think my daughter and I have her leaning towards CSR, and not trying somthing new, POFQ. :rolleyes1 We stayed at CSR in 2006 and had a wonderful stay their. Hopfully:thumbsup2 we'll get her to agree to CSR shortly so we can start making specific touring plans and dining resservations. :wizard:
