We have a 2 hour delay tomorrow

Got a call from DS's first grade teacher and there is a two hour delay for school tomorrow......and there isn't even any snow outside! They said there is a warning for the night, they may get 3"! Where I come from this is a joke, just goes to show you how unprepared parts of Italy is for snow.

It's not just in Italy. You'd think in Indiana, they'd have driving in the snow down by now. Nope! Actually, would you want DD riding the bus with those drivers out on the road with her? As much as I hate 2 hour delays (had 2 so far this week), I've seen how they drive here, and I don't want my kids on the road if travel conditions are less than perfect. Drivers here just can't deal with regular rules of the road, much less snow, ice or fog.
I agree, it is a problem.

a co-worker of mine from Glasgow, Scotland commented this morning that the largest shopping mall in the UK was closed yesterday on account of an inch of snow in London-we (my team is co located in Denver, Montreal and Glasgow) all found that highly amusing

The extra sleep was wonderful, but DS was extremely disappointed that there was nothing outside when we woke up.

katholyn, where we are snow is rare, the ground is too warm. However, DH was three hours south of us yesterday in the mountains near Florence and he said they had 1/2 foot.

I don't think a 2-hour delay on Italian roads that are snow covered is a long enough delay. Some of those roads are scary on a bright sunny day.
