We had our block party last night

It was a little cold out, but it went very well. My husbands band played, there were lots of cocktails, food, dancing, pie eating contest & pinata. We live on a dead end street with a culdesac at the end so we just set everything up down there. We do this every year, and even neighbors that have moved away come from out of town and stay overnight because they don't want to miss this tradition. Do any of you guys still do block parties? If not, I would highly recommend it!

We have one in August...it's alot of fun but also alot of work for those few who agree to organize it.

That sounds fun! We have neighborhood picnics in the beginning of summer, and beginning of fall. We don't have a block, more of a development. Where a bunch of the houses meet, we do it in the backyards there.
