I just checked my families e-mail and we got something from Disney Destinations. When I clicked on the e-mail and the link it was a new confirmation for our stay this Saturday at Polynesian which says Lagoon View - Club Level. So that means we were upgraded from our Garden View - Club Level room that we had originally reserved back in February. So I got to say this is something I did not expect to happen because I would have been happy with the Garden View room. Oh well it's a nice surprise since this will be my families very 1st stay at the Polynesian. So we already had one nice thing happen and we have not even arrived yet.

Thank you Tammi and just to make sure for myself, I checked the reservation on the Disney World website and it also says Lagoon View. Anyway I can't remember do all the Lagoon Views in the Hawaii Longhouse come with a view of Cinderella's Castle or are each of the Lagoon View rooms different?

Congratulations! What a nice surprise! It should make your stay at the Polynesian extra special. :)

Even if our room does not have a view of Cinderella's Castle it won't matter, because we are still getting a better view no matter what.

What about the EWP. Can that be viewed from all Lagoon View rooms in the Hawaii Longhouse, or is it the same situation when it comes to viewing Cinderella's Castle? Some rooms we will be able to see it and others we won't?

Congratulations, what a fantastic upgrade.:wizard:

You should be able to see the Electrical Water Pageant in its full glory from any lagoon room in Hawaii.

I also think you'll be able to see the castle from any lagoon view in Hawaii although the odd room may have a partially blocked room from a tree trunk or whatever. Tammi, have you read of anyone who had their view fully blocked?

Have fun CRFan. :cool1: Can't wait to see what you think of the Polynesian and especially Hawaii.

Thank you so much for that info and I also can't wait to experience staying at the Polynesian.

I know resort counts tend to move around a lot in the days leading up to a check in. Hopefully you'll still have Lagoon when you check in, but I wouldn't be suprised if it changes.

Gratz if it stays that way though! :goodvibes

I had the same thing happen to me in August. I booked a garden view room and when i checked in they upgraded me to a laggon view(not club level though). The view from my room is my avatar.

We are also checking in on Saturday. I just checked our reservation and we have been upgraded to Theme Park View. Works for me! :)

That is awesome! We stayed at the Poly in Feb, but we only had a view of the Monorail. :sad1: My kids loved it though! We are checking in on the 18th, but staying at POR this time. Maybe I will get lucky and get a water view room! :goodvibes Happy Holidays! :santa:

We always stay Poly..lagoon view concierge and honestly have never had a bad view or not at least a partial of the MK. We love being able to see the water parade and fireworks(in most cases) No matter what you recieved some wonderful pixie dust! Hope you have a wonderful stay!! :)

Like I said before we got a new e-mail confirmation from WDW saying Lagoon View - Club Level. In fact they sent two of them. Plus when I typed our confirmation number on the WDW website and their also says Lagoon View - Club Level. So I am sure on Saturday when we check-in we will be in our Lagoon View room. Besides I have read other threads where people they claim they got e-mails from WDW that are new confirmations or saw them on the WDW website a better view listed and it turns out they were upgraded. Plus when they got back from WDW they never said it was a mistake, so I don't think what you said will happen.

That is great news! Congratulations! DH and I are checking in on Sunday for our first stay at the Polynesian! We are in a Garden View and just can't wait to see this beautiful resort in person.

Congrats!! That's wonderful! My family will be there for the first time in May!! Hope your trip is magical!!!

Congrats!!! What a great surprise. I will be very interested in your report since we will be staying there in a few months - and we love the CR just like you!

You should not be so sure of yourself. ConcKahuna absolutely knows what they are talking about. Upgrades can be taken away, and should never be expected until you are actually in the room. If I were to book a CL LV room for your dates, and they had sold all but the one you've been upgraded to, you would not receive the upgrade, and I would be able to purchase that room. It happens regularly in the hotel and cruise industry.
