My daughter is gonna flip out! I got her tickets to watch the taping of 'All That'.
So questions.....I am sure someone on these boards have been to tapings. Says it starts at 4, but to come earlier to be sure of a spot to get in. Is 3 early enough? How early do people typically line up for this stuff? I am willing to line up as long as it takes!
Anyone actually been to a Nick taping? Please tell me about it! I notice on the tv show you only see kids sitting in the audience. Do they put all the parents up at the back? Thats fine by me as long as I can see her. I thought maybe the parents went to a green room, but doesn't seem to be the case from what I have read on the place I got the tickets.

I'd say get there 1 1/2 to 2 hours early. Since the tickets are free there is a lot of demand. The last show tapings I've seen were Roseanne and Married With Children (so it's been quite a while) and people were queued up that early. Also factor in the drive time during rush hour to L.A., and trying to find parking. It's a hassle, but hey, the tickets are free. For the shows I've seen they have a comedian there to get the audience warmed up, so that's another bonus. And did I mention that the tickets are free? :D

Thanks so much for this link. I'm going to watch and see what is available and then try and catch something when we are out there.

My kids are going to be 8 and 10 when we go. Anyone know of any shows that let in 8 year olds? My 8 year old is really tall - do they check? All the Nick shows have a min of at least 10.

My daughter is 8.5 yrs (actually will almost be 9 yrs when we go), but always mistaken for 10/11 yrs. She is almost 4'6" and very very mature. It says that I have to show photo id for myself, but nothing for my daughter. I figure its my word against theirs. They did not tell me to bring id for her, therefore if they request it I will play dumb. I don't expect any problems. I doubt they will even question her age anyway, as she looks 10/11, and I will let her dress older. I might actually let her wear a bit of eyeshadow/pink blush and some lip gloss - just to make her look that little bit older. Wouldn't normally let her do that - but for this I will! Yep - im lying - some will flame me for it, but its a once in a lifetime thing for her and I don't care! :cool1:

OOooo - good idea about blush and lipgloss. My 7 1/2 year old looks 12 when she has on "makeup." I don't normally let her go out of the house with it on, but it would definitely make her look older for this purpose. My daughter is as tall as the 4th and 5th graders at the bus stop and taller than some. Last week, she had on a stylish (but tasteful) outfit and had her hair up and I didn't recognize her when she got off the school bus! She was walking with and talking to a 5th grade friend and I assumed they were both 5th graders!

I hate to imply to my kids that it's OK to lie, but I know they would love to see All That and they are very mature (most days!)

All the tv studios are in LA (and mostly Hollywood) so you're looking at a 30-45 minute drive at least.
