We just bought our airfare for our upcoming trip in Oct. Prices have been high from Phoenix, AZ to Orlando for a while, but i was able to get us 89 each way + taxes on Delta to orlando on a sat and 94 + taxes coming home on AirTran.
It was not the time we wanted going there, as we usually like the red eye or leave first thing, but we took the 1230 pm-arriving after a layover at 1030 pm in orlando, so that day is basically gone, but on the good side, we are now staying 1 extra day and flying home on monday morning instead of sunday at 8 am arriving at 1130 am back home, so it evens out.
Im hoping delta will change our flight just enough since its so far out that we can then tell them we want the morning flight instead at no charge as we have done in the past, not counting on it, but it would be great!
we do have to pay the baggage fees but we knew this when buying, delta is 23 and airtran is 15. SWA had not opened the flights up to oct as of yet so we decided to buy now at that price since i have not seen a ding fare in a while to orlando from phoenix. Now to save for the annual passes again and DDP!
