My mom got ressies for Chef Mickey at 12:45. Has anyone else ever gotten lunch hour ressies before? The person she talked to said it was new because CM is getting s popular.

Well Congrats to you, I also have a lunch ressie, I think that it is temp due to free dinning, someone on the board even said that they open Chef M's last year,I guess this sort of helps out in the demand for the free dinning, also some other restaurants are starting dinner earlier like Ohanas, I am not sure if lunch at Chef M's will be a regular, but we can enjoy it while it is open:cool1:

for what dates. It would be awesome if they made it for lunch year round, as it is so busy. I could not get any dates for my Oct trip(except dinner after 9pm) too late for the kiddos.

I have read that there is some construction going on around Chef Mickey's - is there anyone out there who has just come back and can give us an update. This will be our first taste of WDW as we arrive in Orlando at 9:30 and we have a lunch reservation at 12:30 for our first day - I hope that this will be the best way to start off our first WDW trip.

I got it too! For 1:50, party of 5. Does anyone know how much it costs, and if the buffet will be similar to dinner?

Thanks!

Not sure about lunch costs but it basically has the same menu as the dinner buffet. I called and asked and it is only temporarly for disney dining because the restaurants get so packed.

Cost is $24.99. That's what I was told when I made our reservation for 9/1.
I think I read somewhere that it is Summer BBQ fare. Not sure if that was in reference to last year or if that was this years menu.

ME TOO!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: I just called today and asked if they had ANYTHING for 9-4-08 and she said she had lunch at 12:40pm...I was so excited :cloud9: I have to say...last year I didn't get my LeCelliar ADR's but someone here told me to KEEP on trying and I ended up making the resse 2 days before my trip :cool1: I never give up!!

We were told that Chef Mickey's will be expanding and be all different when we visit next summer. It was a manager that told us this information.

We did lunch last year at CM during Free DIning. I got lucky and got a 6pm dinner this year so we are not doing lunch again, but if I had not been able to get that dinner we would of definitly gone back to the lunch. We had ribs, salmon, mickey raviolies, mickey mac n cheese, a good selection of green salad bar items and a really good roast pork dish too. I remember my DH also got a pasta with veggies and white sauce maybe a primavera or something and alot of stuff we didn't try too, and my kids ate there weight in desserts:)

Assuming this is true, I wonder when CM will close for renovations. I was hoping for an adr over new years and possibly again in June if everything plays out as planned.

Well that is something to celebrate alright, glad you are both ok!! :thumbsup2

You should be able to make it there in time. I read on another post about you wondering if your little one will like the characters. You might be surprised. Last year, ds was 3 and my other ds was 6 months. They are so shy and don't like when people get close. We stayed at BC and ate at Cape May every morning. They LOVED the characters, not one tear was shed (except when they LEFT the table, lol)
