We ended up getting a very sweet guinea pig yesterday!
She is 4 months old, and very nice and sweet. I love the noises she makes! My DH is building her a 3'x3' home for her right now. She will have plenty of room to run around and do popcorns! I have a feeling we will be getting her another female soon enough!

We named her Minnie! :)

That's so cute. I have never had a guinea pig but had a hamster named hamste

cute i have a pig named moose. besure to handel her alot while shes young so shell be really friendly and keep her in a place where people are most of the time not up in a bedroom, they are very social animals and need interaction. and its good your getting a new cage because aquariums are not good for their respatory systems. she is reall cute! give her a baby carrot from me!

Aww! What a cutie! I have 3 piggies. They're addictive. Make sure you know the genders for sure! The place I got my second one from told my she was a he so I ended up with 3 babies!

Awww.. she is a cutey.

The popcorning is really funny, the first time ours did it, my DH thought she was having a seizure. :rotfl:

How cute!! Dont let my DD14 see this or she'll soon be asking for one .. :)

Congrats. have 2 guinea pigs myself. along with all my other critters. My mom doesn't call me Ellie May for nothing

She's adorable! I still miss my precious Peanut...one of the best pets I ever had.

What's "popcorns"?
Baby GPs do this. Most adults stop, but we had one who always did this. Popcorning is jumping staight up in the air. If is really funny to see.

We had guinea pigs growing up. They are such great pets! Our black and white one (Midnight) was afraid of the dark. We had to keep a night light on near his cage. We would always know when we lost electricity in the middle of the night! And, the one about the dog who ate my homework? Nope - it was the guinea pig who ate my music! The other guinea pig - tan and white (Fluffernutter) was more like a dog. He was self-potty trained. We could leave the cage door open and he never made a mess outside the cage. If he was hungry, he would waddle over and squeak in front of the fridge. My dad loved the fact that if you talked on the phone for more than a couple of minutes, he would squeak so loud you had to hang up. He only did this when my sister or I were on the phone though. Wonder if dad taught him that one!

Enjoy!
