Hello,

We are staying at VGF next month for our first visit :)

This will be the first time that we will not have a car. After reviewing posts here a few months ago we had decided to use we go shop.

For those that are familiar with them and have used them recently, how was your experience?

I believe you can tell them where to shop. Is there anyplace that's better than another?

Will they go to the liquor store for the hard stuff? If so, does that change where you would ask them to go? I'm not looking for cases just 1-2 bottles for after dinner drinks.

Thanks!

We used them about a year ago & it was great! We usually have a car, but were there with 8 people & only stayed in Disney. We ended up having them bring a second round of groceries about halfway through & really enjoyed having food in the room. Not sure about liquor but did get beer. We shop at Walmart here & used that to make our list, but they felt the Walmart there wasn't good quality, so they chose Publix I think - we just said use who you would use & we were okay with substitutions. For the money, I would definitely use this service again.

I used their service in May and was pleased with their service. I used publix as my store and used their on line sales ad for pricing. I think you need to be present to sign for the liquor. You can call them to find out for sure.

I've used them twice now....Jan and now. Just got my order Sat.
It is nice to have them shop for the brands and things you really want. They have very good communications.
If there is something you do not want substituted, though, be sure to state that.
They even called us Sat. to tell us our order was at the resort and all the changes they made to it....because of availability, etc.

In Jan. I chose WalMart (being from west coast, I was familiar). they shopped at Publix and made some subs......so this time before I ordered, I asked. Amy said to chose "äny: and they will do the best they can. They shopped at Alberstons.......and it was out of one thing, but we got extra of another since it was buy one/get one.

We will use them again in Dec.

We used them last year and was very pleased with the service. We just told them what we wanted and she chose the grocery store for us. If she found any discounts at the store like BOGO, she would choose the special. Also if she did have to substitute, she was willing to take the item back and give us the refund. We are definitely going to use We Go Shopping for our family reunion next July.

We have worked with We Go Shop more times then I can count. Amy the owner has always been wonderful and accommodating. They have even used coupons or tried to find BOGO to maximize our dollars. They have always purchased the "hard stuff" for us everytime(my husband likes a vodka tonic while on vacation). Due to Florida law they have to meet you to card you. Some find them meeting you as an inconvenience but we just understand the rules and roll with it....they are also really good about keeping in contact with you on the day of your arrival. Hope this helps!

Melissa

Wow! Totally off topic, but I can't believe someone has 222,000 posts.

Thanks for all the info, everyone. I'm still debating using a grocery service, or just eating out a lot. I can't decide! :confused3

If you're in a Villa with a full kitchen why not do a little of each? That's what we do. We eat breakfast in ,make sandwiches to take with us for lunch and eat dinner out. It's a win-win,and of course we pick up some alcoholic beverages and relax in our villa.

We're on site now (arrived yesterday) and used WeGoShop for the third time. They are great. This is the first time we had a minor hiccup. The shopper brought diet ginger ale when we asked for regular. But we left the item at bell services and they swapped it out right away. Couldn't have gone better. We even got a bonus BOGO on a 6 pack of diet Pepsi. Can't beat that!

We used Garden Grocer in the past, and while I liked picking items from a list (so I knew exactly what I'd get), I found the whole thing too restrictive. Wrong pancake syrup, bread, etc. But WeGoShop shops like they're shopping for themselves. I can't recommend them more highly.
