We get an extra week of summer vacation

Our town in building a new school and it looks like they need an extra week to get it all ready for the students.

So instead of starting Aug 26, we are starting Sept 2. And they havent changed any of the vacations or end of school day--they are using the teacher inservice days for the last week of Aug.

My kids are so happy and so am I.

That is GREAT. I can bet the kids will not learn any less with a few less days of school
