We just got back from a trip to Disneyworld.
I am 6 mo pregnant and about a month ago, had my Ultrasound tech secretly write down the gender of my baby and put it in an envelope. My neighbor held onto it for me. She made up a 12x12 scrapbook page saying "It's a Boy!" or "It's a Girl!" and sealed it up and gave it to me for the trip.
We were going for my birthday, so the big reveal was going to be my present to myself.
Sadly, I left the envelope at the kiosk outside the entrance and didn't notice it went missing until we were at the end of Main Street. After checking in with guest relations, I had them call the kiosk and sure enough it was there. Not like it was hot enough with the 93 degree heat and 98% humidity, I had to run all the way back there and down Main Street lest I hold up the entire party.
After a few rides in Tomorrowland, we headed to Toon Town to visit Mickey. We were the first family in the room, there were 11 of us; me & my husband, our 4 kids, my SIL and her husband and 2 kids. No one knew the gender of the baby. There were about 2 families behind us in the room.
I told the Character handler what I wanted to do and she seemed really confused and skeptical about the logistics. Thankfully, when she told Minnie what she wanted to do, Minnie was totally excited! Here's how it unfolded in pictures. I was sobbing, I have no idea why, it was so fun and I guess I was chock full o'hormones.
