Trip Oct. 18th thru 23rd.

Why do I say "finally made it", well we were supposed to be here last year but I got very ill and had to cancel our trip:sick:. Better now, so I made all the plans for this year and whew we made it! :cool1: Who are we, Me-41(ugh, am I really that old now), Hubby-43(still lookin good babe). I am a foodie and have become very picky lately with the food and service being provided in restaurants. Thats just to let ya know when I do the food reviews (AKA food porn). We live in Florida and usually visit once or twice a year thanks to being DVC owners.

Our home resort is Boardwalk, so thats where we are right now, without the kiddos, I know, bad mommy. We arrived yesterday EARLY. I will post our day and pics when my techie husband returns tonight. Most days I will be by myself, then hubby will join me in the evenings. Please feel free to ask questions or picture requests and I will try to accommodate. ,

Upcoming:
Epcot segway tour
F&W sampling around the world
room and resort pics

Looking forward to your report, and pictures. Especially since we're staying at BWV in November!

Have a wonderful time and do post pictures! I look forwad to your reports as well!

I was there just 9 days ago. Gosh; it feels like 9 months ago! :rotfl:

Enjoy!!! :thumbsup2

OK...we got the setting! Looking forward to your report and pictures. Have a great trip!

:wave2:I'm over at BCV. See ya around the Food and Wine booths! Are you doing any culinary demonstrations?

Looking forward here as well. Next year will be my first F&W experience so I have been eagerly reading reports from this year.

Hi mama03,
Looking forward to reading your thoughts and to seeing your pictures. I was at Food and Wine yesterday and had the best time. I am a picky eater and I found all of the food excellent and some unbelievable. Looking forward to going back again before it is over. Hoping your report lets me in on something I might have missed. :thumbsup2

Looking forward to your report. I'll be staying at BWV next month. Any reports on how the refurbishment is going?

Just back for a quick rest. :wave2: Hidey ho neighbor (Simbasmom). Today I will be attending the Wolfgang Puck food demo at 4:30. Here is my itinerary the rest of the week. Say hello, I will probably be the tallest chic in the place. Well Im only 5"10 so maybe not.:rolleyes1

10/20- noon, remy martin
1pm, food demo

10/21-1pm, grand floridian food demo

10/22- 2pm, chopin vodka demo
6:30 The Wave special dinner

What a great itinerary. You couldn't ask for better weather, that's for sure. Is it very crowded? I'm looking forward to your trip report.

Well I have finally uploaded some pics so lets begin our first day, which was Sunday October, 18th.

Got up really early and started loading up the car. BBBUUURRR, it was cold out. We live in florida so we get cold when it falls below 70. Yes we are wimps.
Look steam coming off the ponds around Disney its so cold.

We headed to Boardwalk knowing we would not be able to get our room yet, but I did use the online early check-in, so when we pulled up to the guard gate we were able to get our parking pass, so we could get free parking at Epcot.

We decided to start our vacation with a segway tour of Epcot. Our tour time was 8:30 am and lasted till 10:00 am. I was a little nervous at first, but segways are really easy to ride. You start off with an informational film then get helmets and begin to practice on an obstacle course, then you ride around the world. It was really nice having the international area all to ourselves. It was allot of fun and highly recommended. The age requirement is 16 and up.

Notice my stylin jacket, I thought it would warm up and didnt bring my coat so had to borrow my hubby's.

So after our tour was over we knew we had a packed day at epcot, so we stuck around and went to international gateway at 11:00 where we sampled some good and some not so good.

This was Kielbasa and potato pierogie with caramelized onions and sour cream. Hubby liked this one (I did not try as I do not like Kielbasa).

We both had the Nuernberger, it was delish!

Checked our watch and it was time to hustle back to the festival events building for the noon wine tasting. More to come...

We were there this past weekend and loved every minute. I have to say, if you are a chocolate lover, you MUST try the Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Baileys Ganache. YUM YUM YUM! I wish I was there having some now. I had many items around the world but this was my hands down fave. Well, that and the wine & champagne. :)

A second rave for the Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Baileys!!!! I enjoyed mine while waiting for Illuminations.

One more lover of that cake here!!! OMG it was soooooo good.

One other goodie I tried and absolutely loved was the Praline Bread Pudding. Not only was it delicious, but the serving size, in my opinion, was three times larger than what other vendors were dishing out. Really; it was hefty!! :thumbsup2

We have the same taste Ms. WDW. That was my second favorite. As a matter of fact - it was hard to choose between the two for me. Egads I may need to sneak in an extra trip for these sinful pleasures.

Good for you!!! Go for it!!! I'd love to get the recipe for that bread pudding. I'm not a bread pudding person, but that's pure heaven!! :cloud9:
