thanks for the compliment on DD. She looks like she's about to fall asleep in every pic I posted of her! LOL!

I thought about taking back the shrimp and grits. I mean come on, it looks like vomit, smelled like vomit, and kinda tasted like it... but the workers at the food court seem so uninterested and unfriendly anyway that I didn't even want to deal with them. My stomach wasn't up to eating after those few bites anyway!

We are going to pop in July, and thanks for the heads up and photos.. i now know NOT to order a lot of stuff.. And Since I love both grits and shrimp i would have ordered that..and been grossed out..lol and I know to ask for my eggs on the side.

Loved reading your reviews. We are not using the DDP this year either but we have only a few ADRs. We are staying our first 2 days of our trip at POP before moving over to POFQ but the new menu doesn't appeal to me or DS I have been reading here on the DIS about the new menu at POP and the reviews are not too good.

Loving your reviews, I have to try that Toasted ham & cheese in France! I am wondering if it was the cheese used that you and DD did not like the taste of? Maybe Goat cheese? I love all types of cheese and think it looks delish.

We just got back on Tuesday of this week...this stuff is the NEW menu items... scary, huh? Like I said, walking over to AOA to eat was the best thing to do for us. I don't understand what POP is trying to do with the menu. maybe be different and distinguish their food from other food courts? but it backfired! who eats nachos with regular chips? gravy over eggs? grease swimming shrimp? they had fries to order with gravy on them??? maybe these are all popular dishes from the past to match their theming? don't know... I know I was not a fan of the food and judging by the looks of other diners in the food court they were not fans either... I saw a lot of half eaten food going to waste.

I love POFQ! my favorite resort! I was actually happy at the menu change before we left. the food sounded pretty good. I LOVE grits and shrimp! but the execution has left me a POP food court non-fan... I was positive before leaving but negative now!

LOVED the mother daughter trip I had and I hope you enjoy yours too! i also loved the eat when you want/what you want trip. It was so relaxing and free! I had some bad meals, but hey, it was still fun to learn! I also ate a lot of things I would never have done on the dining plan that I loved (I am one of those who want to order the most expensive thing on the menu to make sure I get my value on the DDP...It is a sickness!)! so glad I went without it. I'd probably choose to do it this way in the future again!

Could have been, I don't know. It wasn't gross by any means...just different. We are not exactly adventurous cheese people in this household! It just wasn't for us! that croissant was delicious though! I could have eaten another one of those things!

Your DD is so cute! All that mac & chz made me hungry. On my next trip I'm on a mac & chz quest!

The shrimp & grits looks disgusting! OMG. I started @ POP 7 yrs ago but I think we only ate there 1x. I LOVE the MM waffles too they are like crack LOL

thank you for taking the time and the photos of your trip to the House of the Mouse...Last year we were a group of 7 and stayed at POP...we were not happy with the choices for lunch and dinners....so this year (may 11th- 18th) we went to All Star Music.. The food options were fantastic. Breakfast like you said..they cant mess up to much..ALSO the french fries at Music were almost made in front of us...burnt my tongue...
We also opted no dining plan but did have a few reservations this time...loved being on our own time and schedule.

Thanks so much for your great photos...and also tell your daughter that the mac and cheese at Aoa looked amazing..
