My sister and I have both worked for the same company for many years. I've been with the company 30 years. She's a 34 year employee. Today, we both gave notice today that we will be retiring and moving to Orlando! My last day will be November 26. She is staying a couple of months longer due to her position. It will be harder for them to find a replacement for her. Now, we just have to get the houses in Orlando built, sell our houses here and manage to move 2 ladies, 1 teenage girl, 3 dogs and 4 cats from Missouri to Florida! ARGH!!!!!! I'm so excited!

Wow, how exciting. That's my dream. We have 7 years here until Stephen retires, but he is unwilling to move to WDW. We are looking at NC. Have fun and good luck with building.

We did something similar 14 years ago. We quit our jobs in Rochester, NY, moved ourselves to Orlando (rented a Ryder truck), and moved in with my Mom for a total of 9 months.

We didn't retire, though. We both work for the same company now (my DH for 14 years and me for 6-1/2 years).

We built a house in Apopka, FL (NW of Orlando), became DVC Members, and stayed there for 6 years. We then moved (with our company) to Tampa Bay and have been here for 8 years!

THE BEST THING WE EVER DID! I LOVE IT HERE!!!
