My husband and I finally purchased a contract at VGF! We were close to purchasing last year but held off because we got off the waitlist so quickly that we felt a bit rushed. This time everything came together and we took the plunge.

Any advice/tips on VGF, booking process, etc is welcome! We are really excited to make our first reservation and continue making Disney memories with our family

We bought direct from the waitlist. Our guide was great about being willing to place us on the waitlist and never tried to push us away from the sold out resorts. I've heard other people have had other experiences with trying to get onto waitlists so we're super appreciative that our guide was so helpful.

Congratulations on your purchase. VGF is my wife’s favorite resort and it must be tried during the Christmas season at some point during your ownership.

Depending on your accommodations of choice, not all of your reservations will have the same degree of urgency to book. The charts skier_pete puts together may be interesting to look at as a basic guide. Note: historical observations are no guarantee of future results.

Caveats aside it should give you a sense for when demand is highest. The resort is small and in high demand, so home ownership is helpful late-September through Marathon Weekend in January.

VGF is a beautiful resort, I hope you have many years of wonderful vacations and memories ahead.

If you are there during the Christmas season I would suggest you take the boat ride to WL to see the Christmas decorations at that resort. It is worth the time, very pretty and just has a wonderful holiday feel. Enjoy

Congratulations and WELCOME HOME! We are VGF owners also and love our stays there! We have had many wonderful vacations there. You will not regret it!

Congratulations! VGF is one of our home resorts and we love it. In addition to the Christmas holiday season, the weeks leading up to Easter are great there as well. They have an AMAZING chocolate Easter egg display and the whole lobby smells like chocolate.

It's kind of a points hog, but worth it.
