I am so happy to hear that your mom is doing better! I absolutely agree; your mom has plenty of angels looking out for her Wow! 12.5 inches is AMAZING! I'm only down 1.5 in a month! WAY TO GO JACKIE Oh no! Another nail polish junkie I'm the same way! I just ordered a nail polish rack for all of mine My favorite colors right now are by sinful colors and I just bought the neon yellow and neon pink! They are so pretty! I also just bought a bottle of Seche Vie top coat, and it is fantabulous!!!! I had a pedicure done last week and I had them put Planks A Lot from the pirates of the caribbean line! That's a great price for a limo! I've never ridden in a limo! I know...tragic! Woo Hoo for only 5 weeks!!!!! I Mickey Mail!!!!! It's the best feeling when you see that little envelope in your mailbox!

1.5 pounds is great! I always say it's better than gaining Jasmine loves the neon nail polishes too! Can you believe I've only seen the Pirates of the Caribbean line in a magazine, I haven't seen it in a store yet

I have to tell you hon, I was 42 when I had my first limo ride. In 2006 I surprised Jasmine and got one for our ride to the airport....she was so excited!

Your so right Mickey mail is the best feeling...and I can't believe it's less than 5 weeks now! Hope you're enjoying your summer so far!

Hi Mary I was following all of your adventures on FB...sounds like you're having a great summer so far! Jasmine and I are both off on Saturday so we're hoping to get an early start and finish up our shopping!!

Can you believe tomorrow it's one month until we leave I did take my binder to work and during my lunch I have been getting all the plans finalized and typed out and put back into the binder! I just don't have time at night when I get home or I am just way too tired

Yesterday Jasmine didn't start work until 430pm so I had asked her to get everything out that she wants to take and that way she knows exactly what she still needs (she says needs I say wants) and then Saturday (we're both off) we can get an early start and hit the malls. I need a new pair of capri's but I've noticed that they're having all their end of season sales so I'm hoping I can still find some!

I really want all the last minute stuff finished this weekend! We're running out of weekends. The two weekends before we leave Jasmine either works or we have appointments. I hope the only last minute things I'll need to buy are magazines for the plane and those I can run across the road on my lunch at grab at the drug store in the mall

I have made our hair and mani/pedi appointments for the day before we leave at 9am. Then it will be home to finish up last minute packing (I'm hoping to get the majority of it done during the week or Friday night) any laundry that's left and just general cleaning!

Now I just want to fill you in on the latest with our mom. Things this past week have been less than stellar She has struggled so much and is having such a hard time. I think it's the hardest thing in life to see someone you love suffer. But today is the day....they are going to do a procedure at 10am this morning to see if there are any blood clots around the valve and if there isn't, the surgeon that is here from Ottawa is going to go ahead with the valvioplasty. However, if there are clots she will have open heart surgery tomorrow morning. Also, if they begin the valvlioplasty and anything goes wrong the other surgeon will be there to do the open heart.

I hardly slept last night and decided this is a great distraction. Jasmine is also off today so we will all be heading to the hospital at 9am so I will give you all an update tonight....and I hope that update is that it was a success and she's on the mend

More thoughts and prayers! I think you need an ipad with you at the hospital so you can keep the distraction going. It's the only way to pass the time. I know you mom didn't have the greatest day yesterday. Here's hoping that they are able to proceed with valvuloplasty. Keeping my fingers crossed that all is going well right now!

On lighter news - for one month. I so wish I could plan a quick trip down there in late August. I took a few days off from work, but with my recent vet bill any fantasies I had of WDW travel have gone completely out the window. That bill could have paid for a quick, economy trip.

Geodoc had his Ipad there today Him and my dad were playing Battleship at one point while Peg and I were discussing as upcoming trip to WDW for one of her clients and Jas was reading!

I want you to know that we would have loved it if you could have made it down I figured that vet bill might have put a wrench into any thought of you being able to come downbut I am happy that your beautiful cat is doing much better!

WE HAD AN AMAZINGLY AWESOME DAY!!! I couldn't wait to let you know but let me back up a little....Jasmine and I left for the hospital just before 9 because of course I had to stop and grab a coffee! When we walked into the ICU waiting room our dad was already there! Peg and Geodoc arrived just before 10 (they had to drop the girls off at Geodoc's mom's). It felt so good with us all being together...you know the feeling....where you just know everything is going to be ok.

Just before 11am mom's cardiologist came in to tell us the echo something something (remember I'm the banker not the nurse or the doctor)went well and showed no clots so they were going ahead with the valvoiplasty. He told us they were hoping for 50% improvement after the procedure and we were all pleased with that as well. We know it will never be 100% but as long as she has a better quality of life we would be over the moon. He told us they would be taking her between 12 and 1 so we waited until they called and said they were taking her.

At that point we all went downstairs to the cafeteria to have lunch and then Jasmine,Peg and I went into the gift shop to have a look around. They had a huge section of Lug bags and accessories. Well wouldn't you know it they had a bad just like mine but in deep purple (Peg's fav color) but instead of the normal quilting it was quilted with hearts and had a red heart luggage tag attached. We all thought it was a sign that everything would be ok with mom so Peg bought it I told her she has to take a picture of it and post it....I'll harass her until she does it!

We made out way back to the waiting room and before we knew it he came to tell us she did great and they were very pleased with the result. That was around 3 and by 415 they had removed the ventilator and she was breathing again on her own. Our prayers were answered and we have all of you to thank! Hopefully she will continue to improve everyday and we can put this all behind us. We know all of your good wishes and prayers played a huge role in this and we cannot thank you all enough! We are beyond thrilled and look forward to seeing her tomorrow and looking for any little bit of improvement
