We dealt with the SPIDERS...what will it be this year?

Yah for states shopping, I love the neat stuff they always have over the border that we can't find here:goodvibes

Obviously great minds continue to think alike. :lmao: My girlfriends and I are taking a shopping trip over the Victoria Day weekend as well. I will be the only one doing "pre Disney" shopping but they are also VERY good shoppers.;)

By that time we will have started our PTR (so says declansdad:rolleyes1)
so I will post any great buys I find.

Queen,
Yay for the shopping trip!! Target is wonderful, I have several near me. I think 5 within 20 minutes of each other. I used to go every Sunday, for years, now I go once a month if that. I think working 2 jobs and being a 3/4 time student makes me tired. LOL (and you have to pay extra duty for shoes and boots??)
Yes the idea for the extra fund for their 'incidentals' is a great idea. My almost 15 yr old is supposed to start drivers training in June but we will be in Disney for one of the weeks, so they won't let her. But that is almost $400.00 for the 1st segment! Crazy. And Homecoming is in September, she went last year, that was $$$$ too. It's always something. My 3 kids have all had a paper route since a pretty young age, my son had his for years and gave it to his sisters, now they do it. It's not a lot of money for them, but the 'exact' right amount for their ages. So they are hard workers (if you count 25 minutes 2x a week) haha (kidding, I know my dd reads this lol) anyways my point is, they are good kids but keeping up with the Jones' is crazy!!!

 Sorry you got snow!

Yay for Target my mom and I love it and are usually there 2-3 times a week

Your shopping trip sounds like so much fun! I wish you both luck at the stores!

Me too!! The last thing we do is groceries at Super Target and buy only things we can't get here...it's my favorite!

I thought you might have a trip planned for the future, too funny that we're going around the same time, too bad we didn't live closer so we could all go together:woohoo:Declansdad really needs to get on that PTR...I need to see what you buy:rolleyes1

I'm jealous that you have so many to choose from...but happy for you:goodvibes. I can see why you have little time to shop...you're a very busy lady:worship:

If we don't stay 48 hours and we purchase any kind of footwear they charge us 28%. It's crazy....a very nice custom agent told us once "if you're not staying the 48 hours it's not worth it" she never charged us but told us how much she should have charged us. Let's just say we had lots and lots of shoes:rolleyes1

Keeping up with the Jones is crazy....and sometimes we just can't do it! I found it much easier when we moved when Jasmine was 10. We lived in a affluent aread than we do now and all her friends were in equestrian (super expensive) and she couldn't understand why I couldn't afford it. Her grandma and grandpa actually paid for her to go because she loved it so much....it lasted a year:lmao: At that point I realized we would do what we could afford and not be bothered at what others were doing...so far so good:yay:

Thanks hon:hug:we needed that! It's still on the ground this morning, but I'm hoping with a high around 50F (yah, I remembered to convert) it should be gone by the time I get home from work.

I love it when I read on your TR's that you guys are going to Target:goodvibes We love our shopping trips...even though it's a couple of days it's still a getaway. Jasmine really wanted to take more days and go to the Mall of America (8 hours drive for us) but I couldn't justify the cost, not when we have a Disney trip planned:woohoo:

I hope the snow doesn't last for too long.

Yay on planning a shopping trip! Sounds like fun! :goodvibes

Hopefully will be gone in the city by tomorrow. Just the thought of the road trip part is so exciting for us...we stop and grab coffee before we hit the highway, Jasmine puts her Ipod in and off we go!!!

Great update Jackie :) I would agree and say that I would skip Kohls. I would also go to Forever 21, and if they have it, Delia's (they have great Disney shirts).

Sounds like a great line up! I would definitely choose VN over Tony's but I get that sometimes it's not all about us:lmao:

I love that you're having a beach day...never been to a beach in Florida:confused3 Hijack all you want hon, I loved hearing about your plans!!

Enjoy your weekend if I don't talk to you before then

Hello again! I cannot believe you've never been to a beach in Florida! :scared1: They are so beautiful... I do hope you get a chance to one of these days... I personally recommend the Gulf side, Clearwater Beach area. Sugary white sand and aquamarine waters. Soooo very nice. :worship:

Anywhoooo, I hope you had a nice weekend- mine was good, we celebrated my DS's 12th bday and went to see Fast Five- and yes, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker were looking fine as usual... :rolleyes1

My uncle and cousin arrived from Edmonton yesterday. He mentioned how when they flew over Winnipeg, all he could see was white.

Hope it doesn't last too long :goodvibes

Hi Carla!!

I know..it's terrible isn't it. Now I am going to make a confession...I have no desire to go to the beach...I am terrified beyond belief of sharks:eek: I know that probably sounds childish, but I cannot go in ocean water. I almost had a coronary when I found out Jasmine was in the water when they were in Castaway Cay:rolleyes1 I guess I could just lay on the beach tho:idea:

That movie is worth it just for Paul Walker in my mind:lovestruc

I can't wait to tell you guys all about our shopping:dance3:

We do love our shopping don't we:rotfl: I completely understand about time constraints on the Boards...glad you're still reading...but promise every now and then you'll pop up and say hi:flower3:

THE SNOW IS ALL GONE:dance3: Yes, I am a little excited about that!! Now we'll just keep our fingers crossed that the main highway into the states is opened by the time we go...terrible flooding all around Winnipeg right now!:sad2:

We both were saying how much fun it would be if you could come shopping with us....too bad you're so far away!:confused3 Jasmine will have some news shortly on the work situation....stay tuned:woohoo:

I bet! West of us got upwards of 50 cm .... we were thanking our lucky stars that didn't hit, what we got was more than enough!!

Hope all is well with you guys....how's Darcy's PTR coming along:lmao:

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for a shopping trip to Fargo. I love Super Target...it is a favorite of mine. Nicki and I shop at the Dress Barn at the outlet mall every time I go to Marco Island (and each year I've come home with a really pretty top).

No worries- I'm terrified of the ocean too- I don't go above my kneecaps, which is why I like Clearwater because you can actually see the ocean floor at that point and know if you're going to step on anything :scared1: ...anywho, the atmosphere is gorgeous even without going in so it's worth a try if you ever get the gumption! :goodvibes

Yes, the movie is worth it for PW~he is beautiful

Can't wait to hear about your shopping!! :surfweb:

:hug:Carla

So are you going to go to Sheal's and the Hobby Lobby while in Fargo?
Sheal's has the ferris wheel in the middle of the store!! lots of fun!

Be sure to stop in at Happy Harry's to get some "alcohol infused whipped cream"!!
I brought home chocolate flavored and Chloe brought home Caramel!!

We had fun while we were there during spring break and hopefully the hi-ways
will be fine for you by then.!!

My feeling is that if you can't get there because of the hi way you could always find a hotel out by the Kenaston power centre and spend a night and shop around there because it feels like you're out of town!! :rotfl2:

Looks like the weather will be good this weekend!! Keep your fingers and toes crossed!! :goodvibes

Debbie
