...and I'm not worried about doing anything "special" for the 4th. I'm just trying to figure out which parks to do on which days to avoid the most chaos. :P

We will arrive on Sunday, July 2 and leave on Friday, July 7. We will have three park days and one rest/pool day. (Although, we'll be in the pool every afternoon if I can help it!) We usually do Disney Springs and hang out at the resort on our arrival day. Our parks are Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Magic Kingdom. My thought is to do our rest day on the actual 4th of July and avoid the parks altogether. Hollywood Studios on Monday, then rest day, and then the other two parks. Here are my main questions...

1. Should we do EPCOT on July 5, the last day of Flower and Garden? Will the last day of a festival make it any busier than the day after?
2. Is it smart to start with HS on Monday? Would EPCOT potentially be a better choice?
3. Do you think making the 4th our rest day is the best choice?

We have been in July before, but always right after the holiday, not smack in the middle of it. We know what to expect in terms of heat and rain and everything else. We are used to doing Disney in the summer and September. I just want to nail everything down before I make park reservations in the next couple of days and make sure I'm not missing something. Thanks!

We went July 4th week last year. It was fine. It’s not as heavily crowded as other times like Christmas, Thanksgiving or Easter.
