Hi everyone,

I've been doing good in the exercise department. I've been walking almost everyday. I did 5 miles on Saturday, rest on Sunday and did 3.5 miles yesterday and I've done about 2.5 this morning.

I leave for Vegas tomorrow. I wanted to get up and walk before going, but I'm not sure. I told the girls I walk with that I couldn't. I have to figure out what time I have to leave before I can figure out if I can or not. It would have been nice to have my walk under my belt before leaving. I should have access to e-mail in Vegas, so I should be able to check in.

I went to Washington DC this past weekend for a family get together with DH's family. Unfortunately I didn't do well on eating and I even had 2 drinks on Saturday night. I also went on a "date" with DH since we were Kidless on Sunday night. My meal was very fattening. I swear it had tons of heavy cream in it. I was up yesterday, but today I'm almost back down to where I was since I had one complete day of being on track. I'm hoping by tomorrow morning It shows I"m back where I was. I'll be happy if I just don't gain while in Vegas.

Have a great time in Vegas Melanie! We've never been but DH wants to get there someday. His parents go every year and love it plus we figure there must be something to the hype.

Well even though I kept up my exercising and ate pretty well I didn't lose anything this week :headache: The best I can figure is that between starting some firm workouts and the fact I can feel bloated that maybe in a week or two I'll post a big loss? I'm just trying not to let it discourage me and keep up with my good habits. DH is home from work this week so there are plenty of temptations. I just gotta say NO!

Yesterday, I did four miles on a local trail with the dbf and his family. I'm also headed over to the tredmill to get todays workout in.
 
ACKKK, I completely fell off the wagon!:sad1: There is no way I can make my goal, and I know it was pushing it, but I was hopefull. I feel so out of control. I gained all the weight I lost.

I decided to rejoin WW and I will start back up again tomorrow. Please send some Pixie dust my way, I really need some help.:sad1:

Hang in there - The end of the year is still a long way off. If you get right back on I bet you can do it! In fact - I know you can!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Wow Vegas sounds like fun. Are you seeing any shows?

I'm from Vegas so I'm going to visit my mom. I go every Labor Day by myself (me and the kids went 4th of July weekend). No DH and no kids! Just me and my mom (and my step dad on the weekend).

I don't think we have shows planned, but they surprised me with Mystere (Cirque Du Solei) and Phantom of the Opera tickets last Labor Day, so who knows. I really REALLY want to see LOVE (Cirque)!
 
Hi everyone, just checking in, but unfortunately I have not lost one ounce this week so I am still 2/28. Next week the kids go back to school, but I have DH home one day for dental surgery :confused3 . I am the kind of person who really needs alone time to get my mind focused and then I can concentrate on myself, in two weeks from now I can almost guarantee that I will be down another 5 lbs, because I will be able to concentrate on me. Thanks for listening:yay: .
 
I never did hit the tredmill yesterday, and I helped put away a bunch of homemade chocolate chip cookies. So I was very bad. Now, I'm having oatmeal and will be going on the tredmill. I already have my workout clothes on.

I noticed if I go and put on my workout clothes, I will workout. Does anyone else do this?

Good to see other working hard too! Great work everyone!
 
Hi everyone,
I've didn't check in last week, but went to ww and had a huge 7.6 pound gain, and wasn't really expecting it. I know some of it was fluid, so I've been better this week, and lost 4 pounds. So my total for this challenge goes down to 0.6 lost. I'm off to new hampshire and Storyland tomorrow for 3 nights, and am bringing all our food and going to recommit to WW. I joined ww 2 years ago september, and was hoping to be down 40 pounds total, but am at 35.4. I think it will be easier to stick to the program this weekend because it's just my son and me going away.

GirTheGecko-It definitely helps me to get up and dressed to exercise first thing in the morning, but sometimes the exercise is just this darn computer keyboard. Good for you for starting the day right!:thumbsup2

LJRJR-my son starts kindergarten next week too, and I start a new job the following week, so I'll have an hour to myself before work and I'm hoping to utilize it with some exercise. It is hard to concentrate on yourself sometimes, but you deserve. Hope you have a good week.

PRINCESS VIJA-pixiedust: You can do it. This is a journey with ups and downs and we all have them. I find going to ww to be the only way I can lose and keep it off, even though my loss is slow, and up and down, it does work. Good luck. :cheer2:

CrzyforPiglet- Don't give up. It's frustrating when we expect a loss, and don't see it, but keep up the good work and you'll see a loss next week.

MelanieC-Awesome job on the exercise. Hope you have a great time in Las Vegas, the wdw for grownups.

Thanks, for the support mikamah, I have alot of trouble concentrating on myself, with three little ones around all day and my husband who works from home 1/2 the day, almost everyday and thinks I am his secretary, life seems to get away from me and I become a mental zombie. Today I am putting my sneakers on and when he comes home from work I will be already to go for a nice 2 or 3 mile walk by myself. Hope you had a great trip with your son.
 
I have been pushing myself very hard this week to try to meet my exercise goal for August. I only have 40 minutes left for tonight so that is very doable. It would have been so easy this month to give up on my goal but I stuck with it so I am pretty proud.

I won't weigh in until tomorrow morning but I had such a big drop last weekend I don't expect a big one tomorrow but it sure would be nice. My family is going to be here this weekend to visit me for my birthday so I had lots of challenges. I am the one cooking so that helps although Mom is bringing a cake. I plan on having one piece of cake because it is my birthday and I deserve it. :)
 
I am down 3 since this challenge started. Things have been going very slow. I was doing well but was on vacation this past week and went overboard with good food too many times.

Oh well. Back to work Tuesday and back on track! :rolleyes:
 
I had a 1 pound loss for the week so that puts me at 9.5/40 for this challenge. :)
 
Hi guys! So, I finally got myself back on track and am working the scale back downward. But, I can't post a loss b/c I'm still not down to what I put as my starting weight! (But I am only one pound away!!) I'm counting my WW points again and have exercised quite a bit this past week. I'm about to head off to the spa for a deep tissue massage - aahh!!!
 
I am so close to that 50 pound mark that I keep weighing myself. :rotfl: This morning I had another 1.5 pound loss so that puts me at 11/40 for this challenge and I am only 1 pound away from that beautiful 50 pound clippie. I can almost taste it and it taste SO much better than any food in the world!!!! :yay:
