Hey everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well. Anyone besides me getting excited for the new Biggest Loser Season? I can't wait!

I've been doing really well with my exercise and I thought my eating too. Last night I ate popcorn (organic, plain, no butter) and I ate the whole bag plus I had just had 15g of my dark 88% cocoa chocolate and 16g of my all natural peanut butter (my version of a recees). My scale jumped up this morning, maybe it was from the salt and the volume of the popcorn last night?
It better go back down by WI tomorrow. I mean - I've been exercising so much this past week. I only did 10 minutes yesterday, but I'll consider that my rest day. I have been eating more though because the exercising is really making me hungry. But- If I added in WW activity points, I wouldn't be over for the week. I should still lose. Keep your fingers crossed. I've also had black FF refried beans the last two days, and I know that for somereason eating that makes me seem like I'm not losing then BAM I do. Hopefully tomorrow is a BAM day. I'm not going to eat refried beans again till Friday after my WI's.

My legs are finally starting to feel better. I did another 20 minute slow walk this morning and it didn't kill me so I will probably try maybe a 30 minute slow walk tonight to see how I do. I may have to take it easy the rest of the week but it will be good to at least keep moving a bit. I am shocked that I actually (gasp! scared1:) seem to be missing my exercise. :)

Melanie - thanks for adding my name. I also can't wait for BL to start. I've been watching Fat March right now but DH thinks the contestants whine too much and I kinda agree. You've been doing awesome on your food and exercise. Good luck on your WI.

I've been doing great on the exercise and pretty good on the eating. Today was going to be a rest day b/c I did a Firm tape yesterday but I still ended up walking 45 minutes. My behind still hurts from all the squats yesterday but I just got to remember it'll help me look better on Castaway Cay in 5 weeks! Another good thing is that I had forgotten I had measured myself last OCTOBER and even though I've only really gotten serious about my weight loss 2 months ago I remeasured myself yesterday and it was so motivating. Overall I've lost 12.5 inches :banana: Even though I'll keep weighing in each week I'm not going to measure myself until the day before our cruise. The other good thing about measuring is that I realize I've lost the least in my waist so I'm definitely going to be doing more ab work.

Well the laundry is calling!

And I have a picnic potluck for my DS preschool tonight :scared1:

Hi everyone! I stayed within my points today but didn't drink as much water as I usually do. Maybe because its so darn cold here! Last night when I went on my walk I was able to see my breath! In August! It was in the 50's...I was freezing!
 
Hello all!

I'm at 10.5/26 now - I have a few rough weeks with 1 pound loss or a maintain, but thanks to losing some water weight and exercise, I had a huge whoosh this last weekend!! :cool1: Of course now I am not expecting much for this weekend. I am trying something new this week: eating all my AP points and trying to eat my flex points. I know they're mine and I am supposed to eat them, but I can't get past the "low carb" mentality of keeping everything as low as possible. I keep thinking if I eat beyond my daily points target and eat all my AP and flex points, I'll gain.

Stupid, I know. But we'll see this weekend, right?

Hi, so far I have lost 2 lbs. so that is 2/28. It is soooooo hard with the three little ones running around that I often forget what I am doing and eat things I shouldnt. I cant even exercise really until school starts in September. But if I could keep going at a pound a week I would be happy. Good luck to everyone.

I haven't had a good week- I ate all of my WW Flex Points by the third day of the week. I'm not sure what's wrong with me. I usually go to WW at work meetings but right now we are having a hiatus until the first week in September. I think I'm just eating because I know no one is going to see the scale except me for a couple of weeks. I don't like the way I feel when I overeat though.
This week I haven't gained any and also haven't lost. My goal is still to lose 15 pounds at least and so far I have lost 5. ( over 3 months...) Next weigh-in I will really try to do better-

Note to self - I'm caught up to this point.

Hi everyone, well I only lost .2 this week. Very depressing considering how much I worked out. I don't get it? If I add in my AP points I still didn't overeat? At one point I was down another .8. Oh well, I will keep on trucking and hope that maybe my body is holding onto water because I started working out more. I remember from before that around the 3rd week of working out my body would hit a big drop. Today I walked 45 minutes before work and another 53 minutes during lunch. I burned over 550 calories today.

Next Wednesday I go to Vegas to visit my mom. I know I will have a few splurges in there, but I'm going to try my best not to gain anything. When I went back over the 4th of July I didn't gain and I was there for slightly longer that time.

I also go to Washington D.C. to a family party at my Nephew's house. I am planning on making something I can eat tomorrow night and bringing it with me. Keeping my fingers crossed I end up being OP this weekend. DH and I are going to walk 4.5 miles on Saturday and I'm going to try to work out/swim at the Marriott we are staying at.

Bailey2007- Hang in there. I did the same too, luckily I had workout points. I know not going to meetings does make it harder. I really need to go to meetings. I didn't go to my meeting today, because I had so much to do before I leave next week and I'm running out of days since I'm going to Washington D.C. this weekend. I think I did it because I knew I couldn't go to my meeting next week. The good thing is I'm on a roll, I'm exercising so hopefully I can be strong this weekend in D.C. and in Vegas. Hang in there - WE CAN DO THIS!!

LJRJR - Great job on the two pounds. Definately having a little one running around makes it difficult. Hang in there!!

slk537 -Great job on your Woosh! I usually try to eat all my AP's and Flex points. I was going to not eat any AP's, but I needed them because I went over my flex early in the week. All this working out made me hungry.

Tinkamom- I have the same weather as you. It was definately cold and wet this week. Luckily today was a bit warmer. I am looking foward to the cooler weather of fall though. Its just strange to have it in August. I still have my windows open tonight, I hear its getting hotter tomorrow and Saturday though. I guess that will go away then.

Danica - Sorry your having a stressful day. I hope you did good at the Picnic!!

CrzyforPiglet- I am watching Fat March too, but I definately don't like it as much as BL.

Becka - I hear you on missing exercise. I find that I get like that once I get into the swing of exercising. Watch - I'll have that Bam tomorrow, lol!

Melanie - thank you so much for keeping this up! I am really excited about this medium term challenge/goal and it is so nice to hear how everyone else is doing!

WI is tomorrow (I can't get used to WI = weigh in....to me it'll always be Wisconsin!) and I am a little nervous. I really want the weight loss, but after a woosh last week and trying to eat more of my points this week, I don't expect much. But I'll stick it out - the scale doesn't always mean your body isn't changing.

Hi Ladies! I was actually doing very well for myself and had lost 3 of my 16 pounds. But, last weekend was my friend's wedding and I haven't counted my WW points since then - so I gained them back. I need to get back on track - so today's the day! This past week, I ate the wedding food, plus have been out to lunch or dinner almost every day. I also just accepted a new job in a new city and will be moving in 2 weeks!!!! Talk about stress! So everyone has been taking me out for congratulatory dinners, lunches, happy hours. You name it - i ate it!! Haha!

So, the next couple of week are going to be more difficult to count my points, but I decided that I can at least write everything down and count them the best I can or I can not count at all and gain, gain, gain. Even if I maintain I'd be happy. I'm going to the beach the last week in September and want to be able to wear some of my summer stuff that's been a little tight all season. Plus, now that fall's on the way, I need to fit back into my jeans! I know 16 pounds isn't a lot, but it's enough to make most of my clothes too uncomfortable to wear...so buying all new clothes is pretty expensive.

I hope you all have a nice weekend and make wise eating decisions. I have 2 cookouts tonight to go to, so I'll try to follow my own advice! :)
 
I am down another .5 pound so that puts me at 5/40. :)
 
I've bounced up and down on the scale, losing and gaining. I just can't seem to get myself motivated. I keeping planning to exercise, and then I don't. The weather here (as just about everywhere) is so HOT! I am driving myself crazy! If I keep this up, I will have NOTHING to wear. I refuse to go up another size!

Well I had a visit from the swoosh fairy last night and I was showing a loss of 3.5 pounds this morning from yesterday. :woohoo:

That puts me at 8.5/40 for this challenge!!!

Melanie - I hope the swoosh fairy visits you soon. I know it is hard to see those little losses but just stay with it and you will get a visit from the fairy and drop a bunch all at once. Just tell youself "you can do it"! :)
 
Good morning everyone!

I only lost 1.2 lbs this week:confused3 I'm still happy though! I was so good this week that I thought it would be more! We ate at panera bread one night and I was so proud of myself because I ordered a plain garden salad with non-fat dressing instead of my usual favorite, the oriental grilled chicken salad. I asked to see the nutritional info before ordering and was shocked to see the fat and sodium values of seemingly healthy choices. The oriental grilled chicken salad had 39g of fat and 1790mg mg sodium!

Take baby steps. Tell yourself that you will change 1 thing and then stick to it. Like....today I will drink all my water. After you master that first step add another.....today I will measure all my food and eat proper serving sizes. Then maybe.....today I'll march in place for 60 seconds out of every hour or go up and down the stairs a couple of extra times or go for a short walk after dinner.

You can do it!
