We both got real jobs: now we can go to Disney! Sept 2013 PTR! TR link posted 9/29!

Love your new luggage! So cute! And I love the Keep Calm shirt-it's perfect!

Well, you know how much my family loves EoS :rotfl: I'm actually thinking about getting the mac and cheese from WPE for Maddie and I while Bry goes to EoS this trip though. I really want to try WPE!

I can't wait to hear how you like Paridiso. I don't know that I've heard of anyone trying it either!

Thank you! Ah I love that shirt-- it makes me so happy!

:rotfl: Your family's love for EoS was definitely a big part of what made me consider it! They both seem to have yummy options, I'm not sure how we'll choose. I guess it'll come down to what we're in the mood for that day. Or depending on how hungry we are, which one is closer :rotfl2:

I'll definitely be taking detailed notes to report back! :goodvibes

Love the nurses day pin!! Your day 1 plans sound great :) (and similar to what my day 1 plans will be looking like!)

Thank you! :goodvibes

Haha too funny--we really are similar planners! I like going to DTD on arrival day because I feel like you still get the excitement of being in Disney but without only getting half a day in the park!

Joining In!
I love your sparkle on t shirt!

:welcome: Thanks for joining!

Thank you! I really like that shirt! :goodvibes
P.S. I totally just requested to follow you on instagram :lmao:

Going to DD on our first day is a tradition too. :)

Love the new luggage and your shirts. Super cute! Great plans for the first day so far. I'm excited right along with you!

Oh my gosh I would SO take your heat wave over this crappy weather! Like, I’m not sure how I was in Fl, hurricane central, and Calgary was flooding and rainy and gross. Luckily it looks like it’s cleared up, though my hometown/Mom’s city is flooding now…joy…lol.

Love the luggage!!

AH CURSE YOU! But not really, I’m dying for those hot topic tanks!! I had them all priced up at buy one get one half off and then got to the check out where the shipping was added on and it was ridiculous! Luckily Shelley said I could ship things to her, but now the Peter Pan one’s out of stock, boooo

That’s an adorable pin!!

Sounds like an awesome day 1!! Definitely take the time to explore over at AoA, it’s incredible over there, and I love it! The food court even has some awesome, and different choices, it’s great!!

AH I know I can't believe the craziness by you :confused3 I'm glad things are clearing up but I hope your mom/the town aren't hit hard! I'll be throwing some pixiedust: your way!

omg I wish I had known about them when they were on sale! I'm stalking the website insanely now for when there is one :rotfl: I mean, $20 a shirt isn't TERRIBLE but I mean, I could get more if they're on sale. Plus, I have a thing about paying full price for anything I don't have to lol

Yes! We will definitely be exploring AoA. If not the first day, then later in our trip! We didn't get to it in January and I was so disappointed, especially because the pictures look amazinggg!

Haha, I was just going to do a “stuff I’ve bought” post tonight!

That pin is so great! Definitely deserves to be recognized by Disney. Pretty sure they don’t have an accountant pin :sad2:

Sounds like a good first day plan. You’re so lucky to have such a short flight. Takes me what feels like all day to get there! Actually, we’ll be starting the trip the night before to drive to the Seattle airport. Flights from there are about $300, from home, about $600! I'd be much nicer to only be a couple hours from home.

If you’re using a dining credit, it’s a much better value at wolfgang’s than earl’s! EOS is great though. I’ve checked out the menu for paradiso and I remember reading one review back when it first opened. I think it’d at least be a good place for a drink. And I know what you mean about the guy not caring about much, so when he makes a choice, we better let him have it! That’s the first park we’re going to, DH’s choice.

We went to DQ last time, it was just OK to me. I maybe needed like a tour guide or something, I didn’t know where to go/what to do!

I'm following your PTR and going in September too! We are heading in the day that you head out :(. We are staying at AoA in a Cars Suite and are super excited!

We are planning to do DTD on our arrival day too, but are driving from the Atlanta area, so I'm trying to convince my family to leave super early. There are four adults going, with two kids, so maybe we can leave after dinner and each drive a few hours. I don't know- that seems to be pushing it some- I'm just so excited!

You will never, ever have trouble finding your luggage on the carousel ever again.

Your arrival day means my trip is closer to ending. Boo! I haven't eaten at Downtown Disney. I think I'm on a mission just to get my shopping done and get out. The last two trips, I ate over at POR instead, just because it reminds me of when I was little. I liked taking the boat and watching the water wheel in the food court. Maybe this time I'll manage a sandwich.

:rotfl2: I feel like I'm gonna have a lot of those posts through the course of this PTR!

Hmm I googled it and it seems that they do a pin for tax day. I know it's not the same but the one from 2010 did have Mickey as an accountant on it!

We are lucky to be close to WDW. DLR, on the other hand, is another story. That one is gonna be a much more expensive trip. I would totally drive to Seattle to fly too. $300 is a big difference from $600! :crazy2:

That's a good point about the dining credit! Perhaps if we do end up at EoS we'll just pay OOP and save the credit. I'm leaning towards WPE but who knows what September brings lol.

Yeah, I've been encouraging him to give me more opinions, especially now that we've been twice so he knows more about what he likes and whatnot. He has a tendency to save his opinions until the last minute when all the plans are already set and then I wanna punch him :rotfl2:

Hm thanks for letting me know how you felt about DQ! I'm not sure how we'll feel about it but we have the WPFAM option on our ticket so I figure we might as well check it out. I'm not huge on video games so I'm not sure how much I'll like it!

Thanks so much for all the tips! :goodvibes

:welcome: Aw how sad that we'll just be missing each other! A Cars Suite at AoA is TOTALLY exciting!! I'd love to stay in one of those suites but with just the 2 of us, it really makes no financial sense.

How long is the drive from Atlanta? I would definitely want to leave super early because I'd be too excited to wait :rotfl2: It does seem good that you can share the driving! My bf refuses to do a road trip until I get my license because right now, anywhere we go, he has to do all the driving! :drive::rotfl:

You will never, ever have trouble finding your luggage on the carousel ever again.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: My previous luggage was BRIGHT pink so luggage carousels and I get along well.

Aw that is a super sad thought  Thinking about my trip ending already makes me sad and we still have 75 days before it even starts. Signs we're addicts I guess...:lmao:

I could see your point about just wanting to get in DTD and out. It can be pretty crazy over there! POR sounds like a gorgeous resort. I'm hoping as we make more trips, we'll start feeling less of a need to go-go-go all the time and then I can justify staying at moderate or deluxe resorts since we'll spend some more time there! :goodvibes

I'll look at the bottom of the sale bin for the tax pin :rotfl2:

DH still has more "I don't want to do that" opinions than "I do want" opinions. That makes me want to punch him too. :thumbsup2 Wishes dessert party for example.

I am in:thumbsup2. First let my congratulate you on having a DBF that loves Disney as much as you do:cool1:. Second congratulations on completing nursing school and finding a job so you could make your Disney dreams come true! Hopefully you will get into your preferred area for Nursing soon. Heading now to catch up on your updates.

Just finished reading your walk down memory lane. My daughter worked at GKTW one year on a mission trip with church and was so inspired by the organization. She loved meeting all the wonderful families that were vacationing while she was there.

Congrats on the PIN finds. I expect those will not be PINs that you will want to trade but it will be nice to wear around the parks. You might want to look to ebay to purchase a batch or two of tradable pins for a reasonable price.

We have not gotten into the PIN trading yet because I am also worried that I will become obsessed. Heck my DS8 played the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom game on our trip that finished last month and I am already obsessed about those cards:lmao: .

Kudos to your mom for doing the scrapbooks for you all. I am terrible about that so my DS25 and DD21 have very few physically memories from their early Disney trips. Thank goodness for Digital scrapbooking so my DS8 will have something to show his kids:)

The look on your little sisters face in the GKTW picture is exactly the look on my little sisters face in all our childhood photos:rotfl: .

I love the picture with the army man and Rafiki. I doubt that opportunity would ever present itself again - although maybe at characterpalooza. :confused3

I found your trip down memory lane very entertaining and not boring at all. :thumbsup2

That's so awesome that your daughter worked at GKTW village! It's truly a wonderful place and the organizations that make trips possible for families are so giving. I would love to work or volunteer there one day.

I was so excited to find those pins! I remember really enjoying them on our trip when we were little! I don't think I'll even bring them with me in September because I'm too afraid to lose them.

We didn't pin trade on our last two trips because I had the same fear but I did buy some on ebay to trade this time so let the obsession begin I guess :rotfl:

I'm so glad my mom saved so many memories for us. The stuff from when we were younger is definitely more organized and the rest is just kinda thrown in bins :lmao: but it's pretty fun to go through.

:rotfl2:She definitely mastered that face!

Ah I know it's such a strange photo! I'm glad you enjoyed! Thank you so much for reading!:goodvibes

I'm so jealous that you get to go to MNSSHP this year! I have never been because I'm always in school, but Lauren got to go last year and she absolutely loved it!
I am a huge Halloween fan so I keep looking forward to the day when I finally am able to go.

Hi, I'm joining in!! We're also going in September, but earlier in the month! Everything I've read indicates that it's a great time to go.

I love your luggage! I may be partial because my set is leopard print. ;)

That first night sounds great-- WPE is sooo good! I highly recommend you go there. The pizzas & pastas are delicious.

What a fun pin-- love Stitch as a nurse!

I'm so excited we're able to fit in a trip to MNSSHP! I'm not sure when after this we'll get to go that time of year so I'm extra excited!

MNSSHP will be fun to look forward to when you get out of school! :goodvibes

Yay! :welcome: Too bad we'll miss each other but I've heard excellent things about September too! :cool1:

Ah sounds like we can be friends :lmao:

Thanks for the recommendation for WPE! I think that's what I'm leaning towards! :goodvibes

:hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:
Eeeeeee! This makes me so excited! Loving your PTR so far!

Let me start by saying- certified midwife, awesomeeeeee goal! I wasn't well informed with my first child and wound up having a very traumatic birth experience. The world needs more people like you!!! So congrats on graduation!

Also, September with Free Dining! Yahoooo! So lucky! We are going end of August and I was really tempted to switch to Sept to save the $1000 plus dollars we spent on dining, but we will be there for my birthday and lets face it, I don't care how much it costs, I didn't want to wait LONGER!! Plus we already had it paid off so, meh. :cool1:

JetBlue!!!!!!! Gosh reading that price for your flights my jaw hit the floor!!! I cant believe its sooooo cheap! I would fly everywhere, most vacations we take, aside from Disney, the flight is the most expensive part!!! That is crazy, I really hope we get Jet Blue in San Antonio soon. Our non stop flights cost over $300 a person and that was on a CRAZY good sale! Gah....

You arrival day looks perfect and relaxing. As for Wolfgangs or Earl, if youre using you DDP do wolfgang!!!! For sure! Its one of the best bangs for your buck, where Earl is pretty cheap on its own, so save it for when you pay out of pocket....WG is supposed to be ahhh mazing food for a QS especially and pretty pricey for QS so use that Free Dining baby!!! :thumbsup2

All your childhood stuff was hilarious! Love it! Keep the updates coming! I can't get enough! :wave2:

Just read "The Job Saga/Flights!" chapter (I am slowly but surely catching up)

Congrats on setting your real job goal and following through on it before you allowed yourself to rebook. I am not sure I would have been that strong:thumbsup2

You will love going at Halloween. There is no better time in IMO. Your length of stay sounds perfect. As for the downtime - I can't wait to see how that turns out in your TR. I also say we are going to have some downtime and then can not make myself actually follow through. I always feel like I am missing something when we are relaxing. I spend the whole time checking wait times an each park and feeling like we need to race to one or the other because there is a minimum wait for something we have not done yet.:rotfl:

What an amazing deal you got on flights. We fly out of Atlanta which is a huge hub but I doubt we would ever see anything close to what you got.

:welcome: Thank you so much for your kind words- I really appreciate it! :goodvibes Stories about traumatic birth experiences are really what makes me want to become a CNM. Birth should be one of the best parts of a woman's life, not one where the medical professionals act only in their own best interests. Rant over now!

I don't blame you-- I wouldn't have wanted to wait either and having a birthday while in Disney is awesome!:cool1:

I'm so grateful that we can find good deals on flights. I know how crazy expensive they can get! I was helping a friend price out flights to Europe recently and wow! :scared1: I could stay deluxe at Disney for just the price of flights

Thanks for the advice of WPE! I have only heard good things about it so I think that's where I'm leaning towards!

Glad you're enjoying and thanks for reading!:goodvibes

Thank you! It's definitely hard to be responsible and logical when it comes to Disney trips!

:rotfl2: I have a feeling our downtime might turn out the same way! But I mean, it's the thought that counts right? :confused3:lmao:

I never understand the flight pricing! I mean, I would figure Atlanta would be cheaper because it's closer. Such madness!

Hello all! As you may (or may not, who knows) have noticed, I kinda disappeared from my TRs and all of yours (sorry!) for a good while. I've had a fairly busy two weeks and I thought I'd share some of it with all of you!

Some of these pictures will look familiar for those of you on Instagram!

On June 26, my DBF and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary :lovestruc For which I made a collage to commemorate:

So that weekend of the 28th, we went away to the Poconos to celebrate!

We played some athletic things while we were up there and I (re)discovered how much I suck at them :lmao:

On the way home, we stopped at the outlets! I was in heaven and I got this bag

and a pair of flats at the Coach outlet for $120 and was so excited.

Then we came home for all of 3 days and drove BACK to Pennsylvania to his parents other house in Elysburg, PA to spend the fourth of July.

They live right near a local amusement park which was fun.

I basically spent both of those trips without cell phone reception 97% of the time though so that was interesting!

I've also finally starting working on my scrapbook for our January 2012 trip. I'm not sure that I'll be scrapbooking anything else for a good while since this one seems to be taking an eternity :rotfl2:
