We ate so much we couldn't walk food report ! - Completed DW ~ Update 1/23 Parrot Cay

The Peach French Toast --- OMG soooo good ! I think all I ate was that. The rest of the platter seems so "normal" to me lol. DH had some as well and he even said he was good..He's normally not a big fan of french toast.

Overall, LTT breakfast is great ! I wish they have it permanently. If you're going soon, I highly recommend trying it just for the Orange butter and French Toast lol !

How peachy tasting is the french toast? I am not a fan of peach flavor but I do like french toast. Is it a strong peach flavor?

Also, you commented on the construction on Main Street. What kind of construction is going on? I somehow missed that....

Hmm..I didn't think it tasted too peachy and neither did DH. It was soft, kind of creamy and sweet. As for the construction, they had a tall crane right by the castle and they also drained the moat around the castle. There is an article on disunplugged that has some pictures you can see http://www.disunplugged.com/2010/01/15/disney-is-sprucing-up-cinderella-castle-at-magic-kingdom/

We finished eating at LTT right about the time MK opens. We were lucky to be able to ride quite a few rides with no lines at all. We did Dumbo, Winnie the Pooh, It's a Small World, The Carousel, Mad Tea Party, Race car, Goofy's Roller Coaster, Buzzlight's Space Ranger Spin, Tommorowland Transit Authority and Magic Carpets of Alddin by 12 pm. We were starving by then and so we took the monorail to Kona Cafe for our 1 pm ADR. We were the only one checking in when we arrived and Kona Cafe was not too busy and so we were seated almost immediately. We ordered diet cokes and a chocholate milk for DS. After drinks were brought out, we put in our order. For appetizer, we both decided to go with the crab cakes.

They were delicious ! Lots of crab meat and very very flavorful. We finished everything !

For main course, I went with the Miso Glazed Mahi-mahi

IMG_1154_Small.jpg

Loved it ! Having eaten meat, fish as main course almost everyday so far at DW and Cruise, I was glad to have something else for a change. We're Asian and so noodles has always been something we love to eat. The mahi mahi was very good and the noodles were excellent ! The soup was light and very flavorful. Very nice dish and I ate all of it !

DH went with the Asian Noodle Bowl.

IMG_1153_Small.jpg

DH was a bit disappointed with this. If you've been to a Vietnamese restaurant and order one of their soup noodles, it tasted exactly like this dish. It is good, but nothing we have not eaten before.

I ordered a Mickey Ravioli for DS3 and he ate half of it before falling asleep :rotfl: He was too tired. As always, we forgot to take pictures of his plate :sad2:

For desert, I went with the Banana Chocholate Creme Brulee. This was very very good ! I was already full but because it is so good, I actually ate everything ! The banana is just about ripe and went really well with the creme brulee. I couldn't really taste much chocholate though so not sure if it actually have chocholate in it or all it means is the slice of chocholate that was on top of the dish. I didn't eat it though lol.

IMG_1156_Small.jpg

DH went with Kona Kone. He get 2 big scoops of Vanilla and Chocholate ice cream in a huge waffle cone with a Mickey head chocholate. He ate about half of it and was too full to finish it. He said it was good.

After Kona Cafe, we decided to go back to our resort for a break. The weather has warmed up a bit and I decided to take DS to the pool for a little bit. DH still thinks it's too cold and so he was tasked to do laundry :rotfl: We spent about an hour at the pool but the sun went behind the clouds and it started to become cold. I figured one hour is good enough so we went back to our room. We relax for a while while waiting for laundry to be done. By the time it's done, it was almost time for dinner at Garden Grill and so we get dressed and took the bus to Epcot. We arrived right at the time for the ADR at 7 pm. We waited for about 10 minutes and we were seated so that was good. The waitress took our drink order of 2 diet cokes and a chocholate milk for DS. Not long after that the waitress brought out the rolls with honey butter. Since we were still a bit full, pass on the rolls. Then we got salad which we did had some. The salad was fresh and refreshing. Next came the main plate.

I was actually very disappointed with Garden Grill this time. The last time we were there, they were serving some really good green beans but I guess they no longer serve it. The fish was tasteless so we barely touched it. They used to serve some fried catfish which I remember it being really really good so another dissapointment for me :sad1:. Turkey with stuffing and Pepper Flank Steak was okay but nothing special.

As for DS, she brought him some chicken nuggets and he did have quite a few of them. His desert was chocholate pudding with some candy that is shapped like worms (I guess it's pumba and Timon's food lol) and he absolutely would not eat the candies lol.

Next came the fruit buckle for desert which I forgot to take picture of. Now, the desert was good so I think that was the only thing I really enjoyed out of the whole meal.

As far as the character interaction, they were actually very good there. Too bad DS missed Mickey when he came around because he went to the potty. I did mention it to the waitress to have her bring Mickey over but she never did. We couldn't wait any longer since we really want to take DS to see Turtle Talk before they close for the day. I guess we'll probably not go back to Garden Grill again unless they change the menu :(

We left Epcot the night before right before Illumination's finale so we're not stuck in the crowd. I love Illuminations but it's not worth staying to be stuck in the crowd with a sleepy 3 year old.

Next morning, we woke up and took the bus to Animal Kingdom for out 8:05 ADR at the Tusker House ! Now, this is my next favourite breakfast location after Ohana's breakfast. The character costumes are just the cutest ! When we arrived there, the park was still closed and so we were able to take some pictures with the big Tree of Life without people in the background which was nice. We checked in and we were asked to go in a line for a picture with Donald Duck. I guess they moved him outside for pictures instead of rotating tables inside. They used to take pictures outside of Tusker House with no interesting background and so they must be trying to change that to get people to buy the photo package.

We had the picture taken and then were seated promptly. The server brought out their jungle juice (Guava and Orange Juice) which is similar to what they serve at Ohana's and Boma I think. I love the juice ! DH got a cup of coffee and DS a chocholate milk again. They have quite a variety of food at Tusker House and so we all found something we enjoyed. DS had lots of Mickey waffles and sausages. I had some breakfast potatoes, a slice of ham, a couple of sausages and Oatmeal. There were all so good ! Next I went to the bakery side and got banana bread and some kind of orange bread which was really good too ! As for DH, I was too busy eating I don't remember what he had. Halfway through the meal, they have their parade around the restaurant and DS had a blast following the parade !

Overall, I really enjoy Tusker House Breakfast and will not hesitant to go back again next time !

Ooooh, the crème brûlée looks good! That's too bad about the Garden Grill, we used to love it there! I tried to get ADRs for next July (any of our 11 days) and couldn't - maybe it's getting an overhaul? I haven't had dinner yet, so I'm literally salivating looking at your pics! Thank you for sharing them!

Animal Kingdom was not too busy that morning either. After breakfast, we went to get fastpass to Kilimanjaro Safari ride and then took DS to Dinasaur land to ride the dinosaur similar to Dumbo. He absolutely loved these rides ! Since it was early morning at rope drope, there was only a few families and so we were allowed to ride it multiple times. DS was so happy he got to do it so many times since we could only do Dumbo once because of the long line and our park schedule. Our goal at AK was to see Nemo, Lion King show and to do the Kilimajaro Safari ride. We were able to do all of that before our lunch ADR. Our park touring plans for this trip is very relaxing since this is our 5th trip. Besides, DS is not tall enough to ride most of the major rides and so we're okay with skipping those.

At 1 o'clock, we arrived at Yak and Yeti for our lunch ADR. The restaurant was packed ! We were hearing a 35-45 minutes wait for walk ins ! Luckily I had ADR and so our wait was about 15 minutes. I'm kind of looking forward to this meal since they have rice. It's been so long since I had any rice. Our main diet has always been rice and so I really miss it. The waiter took our drink order of 2 diet cokes and a chocholate milk as always. Then he took our food order. For appetizer, we decided to go with the Dim Sum Basket for two which I'm really sorry I forgot to take picture of it again :sad2: They serve pork pot stickers, shrimp shiu mai, barbeque pork bun and pork shui mai. Honestly, we didn't really like it. Since we're Asians, our taste buds are spoiled by really good and authentic dim sum. The Dim Sum just didn't taste right to us.

For main course, I went with the Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp. Now, this is good and I'm happy to say I finished all of it lol. It may be because it was served with rice and I was really happy to be finally eating rice :rotfl2:

IMG_1189_Small.jpg

DH had the Shrimp Lo Mein which he really liked as well.

IMG_1188_Small.jpg

DS had some fries with chicken nuggets which are shaped like dinosaur paw prints and so he actually ate quite a few of them because of that. He kept saying "Look, I'm eating dinosaur paw print" lol.

For desert, I picked the Sorbet. Sorry we forgot pictures of our desert here . There were 3 different flavor sorbets Mango, Lemon and Raspberry. They were all very good and light. Not too sweet. I almost ate all of them but was too full.

DH had a cheesecake which he said was as good. He ate about half of it. As for DS, he had a sundae which he enjoyed.

Overall, I think we will return to Yak and Yeti again next time. We did enjoy the food there although next time, we'll pick some other appetizer.

Yeah, the creme brulee was absolutely wonderful ! Definitely, try out Garden Grill since we all have our own unique taste buds lol. I was just sad I didn't get to eat the things I remember they used to serve :sad2:

Our last meal at Disneyworld was originaly scheduled to be Le Celliar. I have read so many great reviews about Le Cellier I really wanted to try it. However, the weather forecast was predicting a thunderstorm that night and so I didn't want to be stuck at Epcot fighting bus after the mean and so I decided to change our reservation to The Wave. I was sad I didn't get to try Le Cellier this time but I'm sure there will be next time :goodvibes

We arrived at The Wave at about our ADR time and waited for about 10 minutes. I'm glad that at all of our ADRs, we never had to wait longer than 15 minutes. For our drinks, I decided to try something new since the waiter is saying all soft drinks, smoothie and virgin drinks are included in the meal plan. I decided to go with the Virgin Strawberry Daquiri. The Strawberry Daquiri is WOW, good ! I drank the whole thing lol. DH got a diet coke again and DS another chocholate milk so nothing too interesting.

For Appetizer, we both picked the crab cakes. The waiter was explaning everything they serve in The Wave is either baked or very lightly fried so it's heathier. The crab cakes were actually baked instead of fried. The crab cakes -- again absolutely delicious !! We both actually think this beats the crab cakes at Kona Cafe. It was very very very good and of course we both clean our plates. For DS, I tried to get some carrot sticks for him but he did not want to have anything to do with Vegetables :(

Main course, I went with the Grilled Beef Tenderloin. This was really good too ! The steak was medium well cooked as I requested and I could cut it with a regular knife and not a sharp steak knife ! The meat is so tender ! Highly recommend this dish.

As for DH, he went with fish of the day which was served with some peas, corn and vegetables. The fish of the day was Salmon and he said it was the best Salmon he has ever had lol and of course he finished it all.

For DS, he got a a hamburger with fries by his request. He ate half of his hamburger which is quite a lot by his standard.

For dessert, I picked the no sugar added desserts which came with a Chocholate Mint Mousse, Fresh Berries with Cotta and Vanilla Creme Brulee (got this list from allears.net since I don't remember the names). They were all very good for being no sugar added desserts and I finished them all ! DH got the sorbet which came in Lemon-basil, Pineapple and Strawberry and he said it was okay. DS had some yogurt for desert.

Overall, our experience at The Wave is very good and we really enjoy the food. We will definitely return again !

So glad to see you enjoyed the Wave, it is one of our favorite places!

We arrived at Port Canveral at about 11:30 am and we received boarding pass #12 upon check in. There was a lot to see and do at the port and so it didn't felt long before we were called to board. We proceed to Beach Blanket Buffet for lunch. CMs were serving at the buffet and the lines were really long. We waited for about 30 minutes before getting our food. By then, we were already too hungry and forgot to take pictures. The food was good.

For dinner, we were assigned to Parrot Cay. Both me and DD went with diet cokes and DS got a chocholate for his drink. For appetizer, DH had the Baked Crab Martinique.

IMG_0863_Small.jpg

He said it was pretty good although he didn't really tasted too much crab meat.

I went with the seared tuna. Now I loved this dish. The fish was really fresh and the mushroom and the sauce went really well with it.

IMG_0865_Small.jpg

I also had a Cream of Asparagus. The soup was very creamy and I can taste small bits of asparagus in it. It was very good. DS got a kids pizza which he ate half of it. Sorry I forgot to take picture of DS's food picture again.

IMG_0866_Small.jpg

For main course, DH went with the Pan Seared Grouper with Baby Shrimp Lemon Butter. He said this was okay but the salmon he had at The Wave was still the best.

IMG_0868_Small.jpg

I had the Grilled Rib Eye Steak with some corns. The steak was very good. It was medium well cooked as I wanted to and a very big piece too. I couldn't finish all of it though. I didn't eat the corns although they looked good but I was too full.

IMG_0870_Image.jpg

For dessert, I went with creme brulee cheesecake. DH skipped dessert since he was too full.
IMG_0873_Small.jpg

The cheesecake was okay although a bit too sweet for me. Overall though, the food was pretty good. We enjoyed the food there and loved the environment.
